Review: Shanghai Court, Seegehalli
I recently visited Shanghai Court in Seegehalli, and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant offers a perfect blend of authentic Chinese flavors and a cozy ambiance, making it an excellent spot for a meal with friends or family.
Food: The menu is diverse, with options ranging from traditional dumplings to signature wok dishes. I highly recommend their Kung Pao Chicken and Hakka Noodles, which were cooked to perfection. The flavors were authentic, and the portions were generous. The dim sums were a highlight—soft, flavorful, and served fresh.
Ambiance: The decor was simple yet elegant, with a hint of Chinese cultural elements that set the tone for the dining experience. The seating was comfortable, and the atmosphere was calm, even during peak hours.
Service: The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth. They were knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choose dishes based on our preferences.
Value for Money: The pricing was reasonable, considering the quality and portion size of the dishes. It's worth every penny for the authentic Chinese flavors and the overall experience.
Overall: Shanghai Court in Seegehalli is a hidden gem for Chinese cuisine lovers. Whether you're in the mood for a casual lunch or a special dinner, this place is a great choice. I’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreWas eagerly waiting for another chinese place to open up who would deliver besides kim chi restaurant. Ordered from the place 3 items :
Non veg Shanghai fried rice - This dish was a fusion of rice and fee noodles almost like a triple schwan rice but I expected that most places when they name a dish after their restaurant is supposed to wow the customer. This dish lacked spice, salt and overall it was a watered down version of triple schewan fried rice ... 3*
Butter garlic chicken noodles - the noodles were thin and not the regular size noodles which would have been tasty but was just simple noodles with some butter and fried garlic. Just adding butter and no flavor was just o.k. maybe more spices like pepper, extra egg and extra fried garlic would have enhanced the taste.... 3*
Tsinghai chicken - The main dish tasted like a mix of mild schewan sauce and hoisin sauce. The chicken quantity was good and taste better than other 2 dishes ... 4*
Quantity is on par with what other restaurants provide. Nothing more or less. Overall for the prices charged which is on par with restaurants like one for the road which is a lil expensive and no zomato offer and the taste, I would skip ordering from this place on full price. It's just not worth the money. If there is a zomato offer, will try this place again before I completely...
Read moreShanghai Court has always been a favourite place for me when it comes to eating Chinese food both delicious and affordable. I have recommended it to many others. Yet, today's was a bad experience to put it mildly. We reached there by 2.30 p.m. and the place was quite empty except for 2 other tables which got free by the time our food was delivered. Yet the cook didn't seem to be in a good mood. The ginger-garlic noodles which was claimed to be mildly spicy ended up biting my tongue at all places so we had to order fried rice but the side of vegetables, corn and mushroom in hot garlic sauce had green chilli pieces today (as against red chillies on other days which are not spicy). The tongue was under severe stress and inspite of mentioning it while paying the bill, neither was any discount offered nor a sincere apology. Only a promise was given 'we will adjust next time'. I don't see myself going there the next time. Not if I remember how my tongue burnt even after drinking water and lime soda there. I wish they continued their consistent taste today also. Returned very...
