Cafe Serene — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I always believed Café Serene was one of my favorite spots. Its location near the lake, the peaceful atmosphere, and the beautiful seating made it feel special every time I visited. For me, it was always a place to relax and enjoy good food.

However, my last visit completely changed my perspective. About a week ago, I ordered my usual favorite pasta — something I’ve had here many times before. This time, though, the experience was shocking. The pasta had a strong, unpleasant smell. Both my wife and I took 3–4 bites before realizing something was wrong. When I asked the staff about it, they admitted that it wasn’t freshly prepared — it was leftover pasta from the previous night, reboiled and served the next day.

This was deeply disappointing, but worse, it had a serious impact on my health. Within hours, I developed severe stomach pain, and by the next morning, I had a fever. The pain lasted for three days, leaving me in terrible condition.

I don’t know what other food items are being handled this way, but it was enough for me to decide that I cannot return. Freshness and quality are the basics a café should never compromise on. Sadly, Café Serene failed me here.

My honest advice: don’t waste your money or risk your health. There are many other places where you can enjoy fresh, hygienic food without worrying about what’s being served from the previous day.

I hope the management takes this seriously, but until then, it’s better to avoid...
