Chandrappa Hotel located in Mathikere is the only existent branch of this restaurant across the city. And it is mighty easy to find your way to this joint. Just get down at the Mathikere/Ramaiah College Bus Stop and make a few steps towards MSRIT. The Chandrappa Hotel will fall on your left and it will be open from 11 am to 11 pm every day of the week except Tuesday.Although you would get a few dishes to keep your vegetarian friend engaged, Chandrappa Hotel is primarily a place you must visit if you are a big-time non-vegetarian. However, it is the pork items which are available in this restaurant that has made Chandrappa Hotel what it is today.

Pepper Pork, Chilly Pork, Ginger Pork, and Pork Biryani will fulfill your craving for some good pork and all these items would cost you anywhere between Rs 140-160 per plate. Not to forget, the Rs 150 worth Chicken Biryani along with Lemon Chicken, Pepper Chicken, Chicken Hyderabadi is also equally enjoyable here.Unlike the other traditional hotels in Bengaluru, Chandrappa Hotel is one hotel where both taste and hygiene are equally taken care of. Nestled in an old building which has recently undergone a makeover, Chandrappa Hotel will give you the experience of having food in an old military hotel.A special mention needs to be given to the quality of service in the Chandrappa Hotel. There are two waiters who will look after your needs in the restaurant and they are always ready to be at your help along with a few valuable suggestions on the food. When the taste buds crave for the best pork delicacy, only one place comes to my mind and this place is it. They make the meanest Pork Pepper Dry I have ever eaten so far and their quality of cooking and the taste got me hooked to this place.

Although I'm not a frequent visitor to this place, I am very hard to impress and they have pulled it off everytime I have eaten the dish - no complaints what so ever when it comes to food.

The only negatives are the lack of good air circulation on the ground floor (small-ish place), delayed service at times because of the huge crowd they get, and the aged ambience.

They now have an extra floor with service which should be an advantage considering the place is usually full with customers during lunch hours and in the evenings (snacks time). I am not sure how crowded the place is at night but it should be an easy guess.

Pricing is a little steep for the quantity they offer but the quality is top notch and that compensates for now. It might cost you close to Rs. 700/- to Rs. 800/- for two people for lunch if you eat with humility, and if you are a heavy eater, it would certainly cost you in four digits.

One thing I can be certain is that they do not disappoint their customers often, with taste and quality. If those are your priority, this is the place to go.

Very Tasty non veg food. Huge variety of non veg especially chicken mutton and pork. One of the few places in Bangalore which serve pork. Food is Karnataka style non veg. Very Reasonable price. friendly attentive and caring staff. Quick Service.Home taste. I have sat down and had a meal as well as take away. They even have home delivery within 4kms. They are on swiggy too. I recommend the pork pepper fry. Chicken garlic or pepper chicken. Buttermilk is yummy. Biriyani is good. Chicken in green gravy is fabulous. And I love their chapati.
