Holige Mane truly lives up to its name, offering a heartwarming and authentic taste of North Karnataka right here in Mathikere. Stepping into this place feels like coming home to a comforting and familiar kitchen. The atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming, focusing entirely on the star of the show: the food.
What sets Holige Mane apart is their dedication to serving dishes that taste just like they would in a North Karnataka household. The flavors are robust, the spices are used with care, and there's a genuine sense of tradition in every bite. It's the kind of food that nourishes not just the body but also the soul, evoking memories of home-cooked meals and familial warmth.
While their entire menu promises a delightful culinary journey through North Karnataka, the Obbattu Roti with Palya is an absolute standout and, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. The obbattu is perfectly cooked, with a sweet and satisfying filling encased in a soft, slightly crisp roti. The accompanying palya, a flavorful vegetable side dish, complements the sweetness beautifully, creating a harmonious and unforgettable combination. Each element tastes incredibly fresh and homemade, a testament to their commitment to quality ingredients and traditional recipes.
Beyond the exceptional Obbattu, Roti and Palya, I also sampled mandakki, paddu. Every dish I tried carried that same authentic touch and rich flavor profile that defines North Karnataka cuisine. The service is warm and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
For anyone craving genuine North Karnataka flavors, especially that quintessential Obbattu Roti with Palya, Holige Mane is an absolute must-visit. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience that transports you straight to the heart of North Karnataka, offering a taste of home that is truly unparalleled. Highly...

Read moreThe place is really good for snack items. They are famous especially for holige, which is available in two types : dal and coconut. Both are priced at 15₹ for one. They have various other packaged snack as well, like groundnuts, maddur vada, kajjaya etc. They also have roti in the evenings. The place is a must to visit in mathikere. The only annoying part was the uncle sitting in the counter giving out chikki packets instead of 5₹ change, even though he had change he said he didn't, and gave chikki instead. Get this man some coins. Other than that place and...
