''COASTAL SHAME, not Pride!''

Coming from a Mangalorean background, me and family wanted to try some good coastal delicacy on a Sunday afternoon. Had come across an Instagram reel about this place, so we decided to check this place out. Sadly, the place doesn't offer Fish Thali on the weekends.

(FOOD): For starters we ordered Prawn Tawa Fry, which was extremely spicy, there was absolutely no flavor, just unnecessarily spicy. Then, for the main course, we ordered Kundapur Chicken curry, Sannas, Neer Dosa and Appam. They are just serving Idlis in the name of Sannas. It was too bad, that we had to return it. Appam was too thick, like mattress. Neer Dosa was okayish, but it was also slightly rubbery. Kundapur Chicken Curry was mediocre, it wasn't as flavourful as it should be.

(SERVICE): They concentrated more on Delivery than Dine-in. The service was quite slow. The person who served us had a hand tremor. Because of his shivering hands, few drops of the curry fell on my hand. After complaining, they said that they'll cancel the Sannas, yet they had added it on the bill.

(AMBIENCE): Nothing great, a usual local diner. They had put up pictures with names of different types of Fishes on the wall with their names, which was nice because we had to wait a while for the food to arrive.

Please do not visit this place if you're looking for "Authentic"...

We had to try a new coastal cuisine restaurant and landed here. Firstly food: It was okay when it came to food. We tried Prawn Ghee roast which was sweetish with loads of cashew nuts and lacked the taste of actual Mangalorean Ghee roast. The next dish was Anjal tava fry which was okay again and was low on salt. The Neer dosa was good. The sannas too was good but could have tasted better if it was hot. The chicken curry was okay and did not have the true flavours of the coastal Mangalorean curry. Coming to service, it was late and slow. The food is very tasty. We had ordered neeru dose, chicken sukka, chicken lollipop, Apam, Buthai(Sardins) fish curry. All the dishes were very good. Chicken lollipop was awesome. Also hygiene is very well maintained. Service is exemplary. They keep coming and ask for feedback about the food. Be it what you don’t like or what you like better to give them feedback then and there itself. There are indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for outdoor seating as the ambience was better there.
