If you love benne dose or would like to try then this is the place you have to visit. Located in suburbs of JP Nagar.
As you enter the restaurant your welcomed by a great aroma of benne (butter) making it more tempting as we ordered dosas, We were amazed to see how much benne (butter) they add to dose making it value for money & mouthwatering.
Doses were fresh, soft, loaded with benne & delicious, served with potato palya & coconut chutney.
Open Benne Dosa had a great mix of spice benne along with potato palya & chutney.
Both the dosas were beautifully roasted & is worth the experience.
Coffee was equally refreshing with the right mix totally recommended to have along with dosas.
We found this place clean & pocket friendly.
We would definitely recommend you to try authentic Davangere benne dosas & believe us you won't be disappointed.
Two wheeler parking is easily available.

ย ย ย Read moreVisited here on a Saturday evening to try their dosas. They have a variety of dosas prepared in Davanagere style. We tried Davangere Benne Open Dosa, Benne Paddu and coffee. They prepare the dosas in firewood which gives it a good taste. It didn't take too long for the items to be prepared. The Benne open dosa was good which is served with the smashed potatoes mixed with onion and dry chutney, and sprinkled with Chutney powder. The taste was really good. However, the Paddu wasn't that great though. It waa crisp outside but the batter wasn't cooked well inside, or not suitable for the Paddu. We had to leave 2 pieces out of the 7. There is seating for about 20 pax and can get crowded during peak hours. There is a water filter available which is good. Overall a good place to try Davanagere style dosas. Price is not too heavy on the pocket. Their menu also has...
ย ย ย Read moreA excellent restaurant for Dose lovers! A self service hotel that serves dose all day long.
Cooked over firewood, the dose is crisp in the bottom and soft on the top. Must try item here is Davanagere benne dose which is cooked with fresh butter and no oil is used. One can taste the buttery goodness in every bite of the dose. Accompanying the dose are the aloogedde palya and coconut chutney. Allogedde is cooked with onion and chillis and mashed into fine paste which adds a strong flavour to the dose. Coconut chutney is equally amazing, and balances the buttery taste of dose with a punch of spice. Ratings Taste: 5/5 Service 5/5 for quick, freshly made in front of you. Ambiance: 4/5. This is a a fast restaurant, eat and go, no comforts offered, just bunch of standing tables to keep your plates and eat. Price:5/5 A wallet friendly place for a...
