Hotel Karavali — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Have been to this place earlier and have relished their Mangalorean cuisine , especially their seafood . And also have recommended this place . But my recent visit here has forced me to change my opinion. Firstly I went in for lunch with the team and the first thing I asked him was kaney (lady fish) tawa fry which used to be excellent here seemed to be sold out. This is at 2pm. We ordered for couple of chicken dishes and also some mutton fry which was dry and lacked taste. Totally disappointed . But finally, the complete misery was instead of serving the proper coastal Biryani which they use to earlier serve ,they gave the Hyderabadi dum biryani. Which was quite awful and killed my mojo completely about this place. Guess these guys also have become a prey of commercialization. hopefully they can recover from this or their days will...

Only if I could give a rating lower than this. We visited this place ona Sunday. Things getting g over is totally understandable, but giving uncooked bad quality food is un acceptable. The need dosa was basically batter, the fish was raw This was not just us but other customers as well. When a customer raised their concer about food( very politely), the person who seemed like the in charge started shouting and screaming. Someone from the back of the kitchen also started shouting. This was the case with all the customers present at that moment. Who ever raised a concern was brushed off by saying " don't eat if you don't like it, we cannot make food for everyone's liking, leave if you don't like the food. Never been to such a cheap and deceiving restaurant in my life. The food they serve is spoiled and they dont accept the mistake and justify with lame reason. The staffs they have is untidy, and very unresponsive! They don't give you all the items mentioned in the menu for the meals ex: Prawns, palya, when you ask they give thay dirty smile as its over and we are asked to pay for the item that was not served. The fish they served in meals was spoiled. The gravy they served was spoiled. The person in charge is not ready to accept the fault and defends . I ended up paying for the food That was spoiled!!
