Visited this spot on a Sunday brunch with friends — and this wasn’t my first time. I’ve been here more than 3 times, and noticed they’ve expanded the place from a small shop to a bigger setup with more seating — a nice improvement!
We were right on time when they opened, so everything was served fresh and hot. Here’s what we tried: Kushka — steaming hot with that authentic seeraga samba rice flavor — comforting and flavorful. Kadai Pepper Fry (Gravy) — top-notch, paired beautifully with both kushka and parotta. Chicken Pepper Fry (Gravy) — the masala hit differently; perfect match with parotta. Kothu Parotta — mild and subtle but came to life when paired with the gravies. Bun Parotta — honestly, this wasn’t the authentic version, a bit underwhelming. Cola — refreshing way to end the meal.
Service: The staff was super friendly — they suggested dishes and made sure we were comfortable, which added to the experience.
Downsides: Pricing — felt a bit on the higher side compared to similar joints. Parking — no dedicated parking spot, so roadside parking is the only option.
Verdict: If you’re looking for authentic Tamil-style flavors, this place is worth a visit — especially for the...
Read moreFirst of all, it is a over hyped place by the Youtubers. Food is okay but the atmosphere is horrible 🔥 We, the family of four went there at around 20.45 and made to wait till 21.15, the dining area is so small with only two tables and 8 chairs. Finally, when we got a table after 30 mts, the owner as well as the server, both were concentrating on the Parcels. The Place was very very hot 🔥🔥 with two big Tawas around and the two table fans emitting hot air. Whatever we asked was not available and only Parottas, egg items and a solitary Nattukozhi masala were available. We have ordered a Chicken Muscat Parotta ( looks and tastes like Murtapa) for Rs.180, One Egg Kothu Parotta, Kalakki, half boiled and a Nattukozhi masala (Rs. 250). It was just food, nothing special about it and the Nattukozhi masala was rubbery. Except Parota and Egg items, all the items were prepared and reheated when ordered. The free sides of veg serva and Chicken serva both tastes very bland and not noteworthy. With great trauma of eating food under tremendous heat and unclean atmosphere, we have finished our dinner and found that the washbasin also dirty and not working. Overall, a not so...
Read moreThis restaurant is a fluke of my search for madurai authentic food, name says otherwise. But, to my surprise, the food tastes excellent and more authentic of Madurai & Chettinad. Excellent Serva is served with Bun & normal parata. The chicken gravy was really good add the mutton fried dishes was tasty and more of Madurai style. You need to be cautious as all the dishes served are spicy than normal, good for spicy lovers, others pls specify to reduce spicy while preparation, hence an instruction to the restaurant is must to enjoy their food. The aroma was splendid and I did not find a smell of fat, cheap oil flames in the food. Gravy was bit more oily but forgotten for taste :), recommended for youngsters but oldies and people with gallbladder issues, care of heart to restrain these. The price is absolutely fine and the food is value for money. I have never tried this restaurant in person hence can’t comment about their atmosphere and service. Recommending people to try for...
