Oh boy, where do I even start? So, we threw this party at Nandhana Palace (you know, that Andhra-style joint in RR Nagar, Bangalore) on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024. And let me tell you, it was like delightful! 🌟
The staff? Friendly, courteous, and probably moonlighting as food ninjas, the food was delicious. We're talking authentic Andhra flavors that could make even a ghost pepper blush. We hosted over 100+ people, and guess what? Everyone left happy hearts. Major props to the venue for that!
Now, here's the real MVP: Party Manager Hemanth. This guy was like a hero. Kind, professional, and so on top of things, he probably sees the Matrix. When hiccups popped up, Hemanth swooped in and saved the day. If I could clone him for every party I ever throw, I would.
But hey, not all was sunshine and sambhar. A few hiccups worth mentioning:
Dirty reception chairs. Not the best impression, but Hemanth pulled out white sheets and covered them. Crisis averted, but still... Welcome board holder drama. Yeah, that wasn’t a thing. Instead, Hemanth got a makeshift newspaper stand. "A-ve" for effort, but "C" for aesthetics. A/C's emotional breakdown. It started dripping water like it was auditioning for a sad movie. Last-row guests got an unexpected splash zone, but the staff came in to mop up. Still, a little maintenance wouldn’t hurt. These hiccups were like the bloopers, not dealbreakers.
Bottom line? Our family and friends are giving Nandhana Palace - Andhra Style Party Hall enthusiastic thumbs up! Great food, good service, and a vibe that makes small celebrations feel good. Fix those quirks, and it’ll be perfection on a plate....

Read moreThe much-anticipated experience turned out to be a letdown. My excitement for the Bamboo chicken was met with sheer disappointment – not even worth a free sample! The lack of flavor rendered it akin to boiled chicken, a far cry from the renowned Bamboo chicken of Araku in Andhra Pradesh.
As a devoted non-veg enthusiast, I had to concede defeat and leave this culinary misstep for the trash bin – a rare occurrence for me! 😞
The Nellore Biryani, though flavorful, came in minuscule portions and carried a hefty price tag of ₹315. It seemed oblivious to Bangalore's array of budget-friendly and delicious biryanis like Ambur, Donne, and Meghana.
During lunchtime, the hastiness to present the finger bowl and bill to us, while we were only halfway through our meal, felt like a rushed attempt to clear our table. A significant letdown in terms of customer service.
On a brighter note, the vintage vibes in the atmosphere earned them a second star. The neatly laid banana leaves on each table, coupled with delightful condiments like dried chili, podi powder, and pickle, were the only saving graces in an otherwise lackluster experience at Nandhana Palace.
Regrettably, a return visit is off the...
