I order half kabab and kushka at the counter and he said they only have chicken biryani and kabab. So I told them to parcel one plate chicken biryani. So when I reached home, they gave me kushka instead of Chicken biryani which I paid 110rs. They look suspicious from the beginning and scammed me becoz I look different from them. I'm Buddhist ( Tibetan) and kind of look like North East and Nepali. Why would they give me Kushka when they told me kushka is finished already. They just want to scammed me take extra money from me. Such a good reputation biryani point can act such a low level. Don't parcel ur food and just go and eat there if u really want to have biryani. U can also try various other biryani shop around Bengaluru which have genuine staff. I will never visit this again. I will share the story on social media and make it viral among people. So they will realise their mistake and hope they will...
Read moreAfter checking some rave reviews here and some YouTube reviews, I wanted to try out their Chicken Biriyani and the much-touted Kebab, so I went for a take-away of Chicken Biriyani + Half Kebab combo for Rs.150.
Chicken Biriyani was average, would rate 6/10. There were sufficient chicken pieces which were well-cooked, but there were patches of biriyani that was salty which made it unpalatable after about half-a-plate.
Now coming to Kebab - I don't know what made the reviewers going berserk over this, but I found it EXTREMELY SALTY, to the extent that I couldn't have it after a couple of pieces. I'm sure they add some taste enhancers to make it addictive for their regulars, but this is not something I'd recommend to anyone I love! A total downer of an experience; never again. Please stay away if you don't want to die of Hypertension due to this...
Read moreFirst of all, this Biriyani is not authentic Ambur Biriyani. The typical Ambur Biriyani is always made with Seeraga Samba Rice and has a very subtle taste. You can't separate the masalas from the rice. This Biriyani is made with low quality Basmati Rice and the taste was a bit salty and spicy, more Umami taste, probably due to ajinomoto it seems. Though the price was economical (Rs.180 for Mutton Biryani and Rs.110 for Chicken Biriyani) you can't compare this Biriyani with Ambur Star Biriyani or any other Seeraga Samba Biryanis of Sheriff Bhai Restaurant or Suvai Restaurant. The ambience was very poor and the service was average. The Chicken Kebab was good for the price (Rs.65...
