This review could be a biased one coz I have a sweet spot for Roots restaurant, it was the first restaurant where I dined-in after coming to bangalore(trust me it was long back). I always kind of get a family kind of feeling whenever i come here. Beautiful restaurant and they now have opened roof top as well, so do check the ambience of it as well.

Coming to the food, it was delicious. You must try - Hot and Sour soup Dahi ke kabab Malai kofta Sirke wale pyaaz(not every restaurant serves it, but i like them alot)

We took the platter and dehi ke kabab was the best(not that others weren't great but comparetively, none of them can compete with dahi ke kabab). Malai kofta is one such dish which is my favourite and they truly know how to make it. I am from north and trust me this is the place where you can get the actual taste of Malai kofta.

Unfortunately whenever I came to Roots somehow we always planned to have Veg(dont know why) so I wont be able to comment on the Non-veg items. But they are masters in Veg north indian dishes.

My wife is a South indian food lover, if she goes out for dining-in she wpuld always have south-indian food but this is the only place where she craves for north-indian dishes.

They serve delicious coastal food like verity of fish and prawn items. If I take the name should try their tawa fish fry and Mangalorean kori roti. We tried their pizzas as well I found the best pizza here.
