I recently had the opportunity to visit the New Udupi Grand Hotel located on the ring road of HSR, and I decided to start my day with a cup of tea there. Overall, my experience was positive, although there were a few aspects that left room for improvement.
Let's start with the ambiance. The hotel has a pleasant and clean atmosphere. The decor is simple but tasteful, creating a welcoming environment. It's an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a cup of tea in the morning. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and there is ample natural light, which adds to the overall appeal.
Now, let's talk about the tea itself. I ordered a standard masala chai, which is a favorite of mine. While the tea was certainly not bad, it fell into the category of being "average." It lacked the depth of flavor and the perfect balance of spices that I have come to expect from a truly exceptional masala chai. However, it was still a decent cup of tea, and it was served piping hot, which is always a plus.
The service at New Udupi Grand was prompt and courteous. The staff was attentive and quick to take my order. They also maintained a high level of cleanliness throughout my visit, which is especially important in today's times.
In terms of pricing, the tea was reasonably priced, making it accessible to a wide range of customers. This affordability is definitely a positive aspect, especially for those looking for a quick, budget-friendly morning beverage.
In conclusion, my visit to New Udupi Grand Hotel on the HSR ring road was a pleasant one. While the tea was only average, the overall experience was positive due to the welcoming ambiance, friendly service, and reasonable pricing. If you're in the area and in need of a quick morning tea, it's worth a visit, but don't expect a tea...

Visited New Udipi Grand, but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a long time. We ordered just two basic South Indian dishes – curd rice and vada – thinking at least these would be safe options. But sadly, even these were completely messed up.
Let’s start with the curd rice – it tasted sour, stale, and completely unappetizing. The rice was overcooked and mushy, and the curd seemed old, giving off a weird smell. No proper seasoning, no freshness, just a bland, soggy mess dumped on the plate.
And the vada? An absolute disaster. It was served ice cold, like it had been fried hours ago and The texture was really bad
Definitely not fresh, not crispy, and nowhere close to what you would expect from a South Indian restaurant. Totally inedible.
Overall, the entire experience felt like a complete waste of money and time. If you’re thinking of visiting New Udipi Grand,...
