I recently had the opportunity to visit the New Udupi Grand Hotel located on the ring road of HSR, and I decided to start my day with a cup of tea there. Overall, my experience was positive, although there were a few aspects that left room for improvement.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Worth a Single Rupee!

Visited New Udipi Grand,but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a long time. We ordered just two basic South Indian dishes – curd rice and vada – thinking at least these would be safe options. But sadly, even these were completely messed up.

Let’s start with the curd rice – it tasted sour, stale, and completely unappetizing. The rice was overcooked and mushy, and the curd seemed old, giving off a weird smell. No proper seasoning, no freshness, just a bland, soggy mess dumped on the plate.

And the vada? An absolute disaster. It was served ice cold, like it had been fried hours ago and The texture was really bad

Definitely not fresh, not crispy, and nowhere close to what you would expect from a South Indian restaurant. Totally inedible.

I visited this hotel for lunch, the hotel atmosphere and well maintained. Here's the self service no table service below I place the order mushroom fried rice they take orders to supply 20 min ,I can understand the north dish will take time and supply. I stood in front of the kitchen and saw they were given other North dishes order fast, after taking order all are supply they didn't supply my order. Then I ask the supplier why the delay happens My order is still not getting out. They have missed communication and the inner fight of the supplier They did not prepare my food. I came hungry and delayed the food It felt very bad on this hotel service . So whom the manager or hotel management takes care of this otherwise customer will not satisfy your service and hotel.
