Olive taphouse and kitchen — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Was first experience at this place. This place is in 4th floor in Akshayanagar near RTO on the opposite side. One may not immediately notice the place due to its location and lack of sufficient signage or display boards. So look for their sign boards or PVR Suites. It's in the same building 4th floor. There is no dedicated parking space but you need to find place on the sides of the road. Ambience looked good as you enter. Reasonably good seating space is available. Tables are quite close to each other. Guess 1 pm was just too early to visit the restaurant. Had done table reservations thru Zomato and was hoping a good experience like my previous times. There wasn't anyone to seat you, so find a place and help yourself to the table. Sadly two tables we went to had cobwebs on the chairs and it took us 10 mins to even get somebody to come and clean the chairs for us to sit down. Then the table tops were so dirty n sticky nobody even bothered to respond or come and clean it, that we ourselves cleaned the tables with wet wipes. After 10 mins we got menu cards, filled with food and sticky drinks spilt on it. Wasn't a good feeling to even touch the menu cards. Asked the person to get a different clean one, it took another 5 mins to even get a fresh or clean menu card that we could touch. Overall the way it started, we lost the appetite and although we were ready to place the order the delays for anyone to even come and take our order made us walk out after wasting 20 to 25 mins just trying to get us seated and comfortable in the place.

Overall,very disappointed on the first trip on account of hospitality, staff interactions and cleanliness.

We visited Olive Tap House for lunch with a bunch of hungry children anticipating delicious dishes, but left extremely disappointed. It started with the disappearance of the waiter who took our order for non-spicy pizzas, but were served with extremely spicy masala pizzas , that is after waiting for 45 mins . Water wasn't served inspite of asking for it twice . Though it was just us the restaurant the music was blaring loud adding to the annoyance of wrong late food at our table, with 6 hungry children. The egg burji was not only delayed but tasted like it was saved from being burnt. The murgh makhani had huge pieces of chicken, which wasn't consumed completely again because it was spicy. We asked for it to be parcelled, there were 2 dishes, but we received just one box after being packed!!! there was no nan or roti but were served with kerala parathas (we were informed ,but this wasn't something we had a choice with something that especially can be bought in the stores easily). The kids finally just enjoyed big scoops of curd , which thankfully was according to their taste. But yes, after an hour and a half of waiting we got delicious margarita pizzas. Thank you for this. I made the booking for my family dinner through Eazydiner. There was an offer of 30% off on entire bill on Olive Taphouse restaurant on Eazydiner app and I paid through the app. Now the staff had the concern how I have been given double discount by Eazydiner. Everybody knows that there are two different discounts. One discount is offered by the restaurant and the 2nd discount is offered by Eazydiner on the payment mode. My bill was ₹4175 after discount and I paid the same amount through Eazydiner. But staff didn't accept this and argue that I couldn't have double discount and forced me to pay the entire payment at their QR code scanner.
