A true hidden gem in Shivajinagar! Pappu BC is tucked away in the narrow Muruga Pillai Street, but once you find it, the food makes it all worthwhile. This place serves authentic middle-class Muslim home-style food—cooked by women, priced very reasonably, and served fast. There’s both indoor and semi-outdoor seating, though it’s more functional than fancy.
I’ve been here multiple times, and the food has never disappointed. My go-to dishes are: • Roti & Mutton Chops • Kofta • Mutton Biryani • Shammi Kebab with Dal/Sambar & White Rice • Mutton Gravy • Brain Masala
Every dish is full of flavour and feels like it came straight out of a traditional home kitchen.
Don’t expect ambience or luxury—this is a no-frills joint. You come here only to eat, and that too, really well. Honestly, if the same food was served in a swankier location in Bangalore, the place would be packed every day.
Highly recommended for serious meat lovers and fans of authentic local cuisine.

Read moreBe very very careful while visiting this place. As soon as you place your order, they send a staff to serve you some cutlet, which we thought, was a part of the ordered dish and they don't tell you unless you go to pay. The owner comes and tricks you into ordering dishes that are not in the menu, too pricey and absolutely worthless. He spoke so nicely and said that there's a special mutton dry dish and that you won't get it anywhere else. We agreed to try it, and once it came, not only it was two big bones with very little mutton on it, and during billing, they said, it costed ₹300 (swear, it wasn't worth even ₹100)! The only reason we went there, was during our visit to Commercial Street, thought of exploring the seemingly hidden gem (seeing the reviews), rather than dining at regular restaurants. Suggestion - visit well-known restaurants...
Read moreWent there after watching a very nice reel on Instagram. The mutton biryani was most dissatisfying. The fried Seer fish did not have the right kind of masala. Overall a bad experience and not worth visiting it. To be fair, I'm not sure how the chicken items are as I didn't taste them. But for mutton & fish lovers, this is not at all the...
