Disappointing Service Experience at an Otherwise Good Restaurant
Yesterday, I had a lunch experience at a restaurant that I often visit. While the food was good, the service left much to be desired. I feel compelled to share my review to inform others about my unfortunate experience.
My friend and I decided to have lunch at this restaurant. My friend follows a Jain diet, so we ordered the "Yaara da Paratha" specifically without onions.
To our disappointment, the service fell short during our visit. After placing our order, we patiently waited for approximately 20-25 minutes until the server brought our food. Unfortunately, the paratha he brought was different from what we had ordered and included onions, which my friend cannot eat. We promptly informed the server about the mistake, and he took the paratha back. However, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for him to return with the correct order.
Despite our clear instructions, the second paratha also contained onions, leaving my friend extremely disappointed. It was disheartening to endure such mistakes twice within a span of nearly 50 minutes. When we expressed our dissatisfaction to the server, he responded by saying, "Sir, you didn't mention that you wanted a Jain preparation."
In an attempt to salvage the situation, my friend suggested packing the paratha and leaving the restaurant. We also spoke with the owner, hoping for a resolution, but our concerns seemed to fall on deaf ears. Regrettably, our lunch experience did not align with our expectations, tarnishing the memories of previous visits.
While I acknowledge that the restaurant has its positive aspects, such as its ambiance and delicious food, the unfortunate experience we had with the service overshadowed all the previous enjoyable visits. We have always ordered Jain food for my friend without any issues in the past, but this time was a disheartening exception. As a result, we have made the decision to avoid visiting the restaurant for the foreseeable future. I hope sharing this review will help others make an informed decision when choosing a...
Read moreIf you think what is their to eat in pure veg Punjabi restaurant then you are wrong. Punjabi Nukkad will serve you some mouthwatering Punjabi veg dishes. Small typical dhaba style restaurant in HSR. There is nothing in ambiance to enjoy but I would certainly say that you will love the feeling of dhaba food from the first bite itself.
Identifed this place while searching for some good Punjabi food and ended up going there with couple of friends for lunch. We have ordered a lot of things ranging from starters, main course to a typical Punjabi sweet lassi.
Starters Tandoori chaap was a bliss, it was perfectly cooked. You will feel the taste of tandoori smokey flavour once you have the first bite of it.
Achari paneer tikka was made with perfectly mix of spices. Paneer was so soft that it just melted in my mouth. Loved the preparation of paneer tikka.
Mushroom pepper dry was little different but don't judge it by its name. It was made so perfectly that it was crispy and at the same time juicy also.
Veg Kofta and Shahi paneer are the ones which I feel was superb. Gravy was perfect blend of spiciness and creamy which added to the flavour of this dish. Paneer was super soft which is the best part of shahi paneer.
Mix veg and kadhai chaap was no less than other dishes. Mix veg was properly cooked and it will give you the taste of homemade food.
Daal Makhni which I was eagerly waiting for but didn't pleased me much with the taste.
Ordered Chur Chur naan, Missi roti and Ajwain tawa Paratha. All of them were worth ordering.
While having your food don't forget to have sweet Punjabi lassi. I must say lassi should be the must ordered if you are visiting Punjabi restaurant. Lassi was so thick and perfectly prepared.
If you have some space left in your stomach by the time you complete your meal then must try their kheer. Cooked properly with perfect combination of milk, dey fruits and sugar.
Overall a perfect place for vegetarians but I must say non vegetarians should also try this. Must recommended if you are looking for tasting some...
Read morePunjabi Nukkad the name says it all. Sometimes I thought Punjabi food and veg is not a good option. But tasted the best in Kapoor's cafe. They changed my perception about veg food in Punjabi cuisine. Nukkad guys proved it again. Veg food can be so tasty and mouth watering you should visit them for sure. The ambience was cute and not too fancy they focused on their food mainly. The pricing is too mauch pocket friendly means you can visit them every day I can say.
To amaze me they have good chinese starters as well. The service was little slow but you have to bear that to eat good food. Must tries are Chilly Spinach Babycorn, Pepper Mushroom, Dal Makhani (it's not the same Dal Makhani you get everywhere), Chana Masala, All breads I can give you in written will be perfect you order even phulkas so smooth and even sized all you will love it.
Brief Review
Chilly Spinach Babycorn - one of the best dish of the evening with coating of Indo Chinese masalas. Green Veg Balls - taste wise super but the appearance of the dish may be better by adding some binding agents. Tandoori Mushrooms - nobody can beat them in tandoori cooked items. Pepper Mushrooms - in typical dhaba you will get this. Amritsari Kulcha, Missi Roti, Fulka, Khasta Roti - as I described before whatever Indian bread you order they are master in making it with the pocket friendly rate tag Chana Masala, Paneer Butter Masala - quite nice and authentic North taste I can say. Dal Makhani - it's very unique here with chana Dal addition of chana Dal but I liked it. Boondi Raita, Zeera pulao - I can survive on this combo for sure.
Punjabi Lassi, Masala Chhach - in the summer season mousterize your pallet and heart with the drink offerings.
Gulab Jamun - well made.
Bon Appetit Chef...
