Nivy’s Resto cafe / Nivy’s Roots & Shoots — Restaurant in Bengaluru

One of the worst restaurants in Harlur road, staff are extremely bad and don't know how to behave and don't have any manners. I ordered via zomato at 9:20 pm today and the order was supposed to get delivered at 10:10 pm. Whenever I check the order status, the moment the order is showing 4 mins left, then the preparation time is jumping to 15 mins and this process continues till 11 pm. In between I tried to call the restaurant but nobody picked up the call. The status is showing as food preparation. When I called the rider and then asked him to give his phone to the restaurant, the person in nivy started saying that the food was delivered to some other rider and told that it will take 40 mins to prepare again. Suspecting fraud at the restaurant , I went to the restaurant and the restaurant staff were not ready to listen. This is the first time in my life I have seen such rude restaurant staff. The restaurant couldn't answer my simple question if the food was delivered then why the status is still in the food preparation stage.

So the bottom line of the story is don't place any online order to this restaurant as it is not capable of serving the order and in case there are few customers in the restaurant, then you shouldn't expect the order to...

We had visited this cafe 2 times before this and our experience has been pleasant. The food and ambience is decent. The only reason we visit though is because they’re pet friendly. This time we visited around noon and there was a new guy at the counter, someone we’ve not run into when we visited the two times before that for dinner. There was this one other puppy that had come to the cafe and my dog started playing with him ( on leash) so they pretty much can’t go more than a 2 meter radius. This guy comes up to us and tells us to go to some corner telling his staff or people might get scared. I asked him if he got a complaint and he denied getting one. Then he tells us that the restaurant expects pets to sit next to the parent and not roam around the place even on a leash. He also suggests we can leave the place if it doesn’t suit us. Children and their parents came up to the dogs, petted them and played with them. It’s people like them that makes life difficult for everyone around for no good reason.There are much better pet friendly options and would definitely not recommend it as a pet friendly option. The guy/manager should know better than to tell people...

Extremely disappointed with the recent visit to this restaurant. The 2 stars are for the ambience, which is the only draw. We ordered pizza, which was terrible. The fish fingers were ok. I made the mistake of drinking their water, which reeked of chlorine and got violently ill the next day. Won't be making the mistake of visiting again.

UPDATE: Responding to the unapologetic and defensive response posted by the restaurant: Instead of wrongly accusing me of raising false complaint, I would request you to double check the quality and hygiene standards of your restaurant. If your water was purified, why would my friend and I both taste chlorine in it? As a restaurant owner, such an attacking response do not help your cause. Please be better to your future customers.
