Colossal disappointment is the only thing that comes to my mind when I think of this place. All the charm and excitement we had to visit the Taproom by the brand itself which we swear by from a very long time; got fizzled out in no time. In real the frustration actually started before reaching the place when we tried too book the table over the call. The guy was not trained at all and was completely confused. He was constantly telling the same thing, we have an event tonight. I kept on asking repeatedly, so there is no table, can u get us a table, is the entire place booked for a private event but the guy kept quiet and again the same response. Still we thought let's go there and try the place. I got one table and kept my stuff. While I went to washroom n returned, the same guy was lifting my booked table along with the stuff to join it for a bigger crowd. I mean, I would have given my table very happily but there is a right way to do it I guess.
Now comes the most interesting part. While we were scanning through the menu, we selected some signature beer but the guy later informed most of the beer is not available. He recommended one from his end and we went with that. We were taken by shock when we got it. Like a taproom is serving beer with zero frothing and it didn't taste fresh at all. When we informed the serving guy, he was rude and was like this is what it is. Obviously, had no other option to leave the place with an extreme disgusting experience as it was Saturday evening and we had to retook at the options nearby and do all the planning standing on the road outside while it was raining. After trying for every single Taproom from Bangalore, I still can't believe I visited the...
Read moreIf you’re into craft beer or just looking for a fun place to unwind, Bira 91 Taproom is such a vibe. The moment you walk in, the tropical decor and cozy seating instantly make you feel relaxed. There’s a lot of greenery around, which gives it a super chill and refreshing feel.
They’ve got a great lineup of beers — some really interesting brews you probably won’t find elsewhere. I got to try a few samples before picking my drink, and honestly, Bira White stole the show for me. It was light, smooth, and just the right amount of crisp.
The food was equally impressive — flavorful, well-made, and a perfect match for the beers. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but for the quality and the overall experience, I’d say it’s worth it.
One thing I loved was the music — some old-school classics playing softly in the background. It added such a nice nostalgic touch without being too loud. And the staff? Super friendly and on point with their service.
We went during a quieter time, which made the whole experience even better. It’s a great spot to catch up with friends or just wind down after a long day. Definitely...
Read moreThe place is suitable for group of friends / dates who likes to spend time in a really calm, not so noisy environment. The ambience of the place is very well , so much so that we do not need to scream to talk to the person sitting next to us, like we do at some other bars/pubs. The selection of drinks are one of the highlights here - a wide variety of BIRA crafted beer is available here, and its a fun place to try out new beers that you've probably never heard of before, and believe me , its gonna be awesome. The choice of food is also cool, and serves plenty of dishes to act as a snack for us.
The place also serves mocktails and veg options , so dont worry about the non-drinking friends who are with you.
There's a small dance floor + stage area nearby the bar counter and an outdoor seating beside it.
Cons : the wait time was long, as we ordered a pitcher and snacks and it was waiting for someone to pick at the counter below. At this time, the place was not even at full capacity, say 60%.
