SOL By Woodpegger — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I recently visited Woodpecker for the third time, this time with four friends. Our first two visits were pleasant, which is why we decided to visit again after their recent renovation. Unfortunately, this experience was extremely disappointing.

While the starters arrived on time and were fine, the service completely fell apart during the main course. We ordered three Chicken Tikka and Roti combos along with an additional four naans. Initially, only the naan arrived, but it had already hardened by the time the rest of the food was served. After a 15 minute wait, just one Chicken Tikka dish was brought to the table. We waited another 20 minutes and had to call the waitstaff multiple times, who kept assuring us that the rest of the order would arrive "in a minute." However, even after another 10 minutes, only an extra pair of rotis was served. no sign of the remaining dishes.

Adding to the disappointment, my friend ordered a Virgin Colada, which tasted bad. However, the manager promptly replaced it with a Virgin Pina Colada, which was fresh and tasted much better. This was the one positive aspect of the experience.

This was by far the worst dining experience I have had in Bangalore. The post-renovation service has deteriorated drastically, leaving me and my friends feeling disappointed and frustrated. I will not be returning and can no longer recommend this...

The good thing about this pub is that it's a rooftop pub, so the Ambience would just be right for a great evening. They provide valet parking which is a great relief for anyone coming here with their vehicle as the lane is super busy. When I visited this place for the first time, they had live music and it really added to the mood. The singer simply stole the show.

Service wise, the place is relatively small and has only a few tables. If you are not early, you might very well miss the tables with good seating. Service was okay with the waiters being there politely when you needed them, not too hasty and not too slow either.

Food was just okay, with medium portions I would say. Don't expect to get a lot to eat with whatever you order, especially if you are in groups of 3 or more people.

Hard liquors are a bit on the pricey side but being a pub, I think I cannot complain.

Now would I go back again? Perhaps I would for a lone night or with a group of 3 or more people, but definitely not for a date. I wouldn't recommend having a date night.

Oh and just be careful using their lift. It's really really slow and can get some times stuck while ascending...

THE WOODPEGGER ROOFTOP & LOUNGE..... Bengaluru's North Fine Dine Retrobar which is nestled opposite Manyatha Tech Park. This place is really a hidden gem in the nest with pleasant & lovely interiors. Plus the rooftop experience was amazing with cold breeze and hot food served along with drinks and love the spacious sitting arrangement on top floor. Groovy music, Warm whitish theme and the cool interiors give us energetic vibes !!

Food is amazing and so are the drinks. The stand outs for me are every dish we tried. The very thought of them makes me salivate !!

The views of Manyata Tech Park creates a lovely back drop.....even non-drinkers can enjoy hanging out here. The best place for a mood changer where you can enjoy, have fun with your friends and the vibes...
