Ugadi is incomplete without traditional sweets n it was Holige Mane at Vijaynagar this time.

The hot sweet smell of the clarified butter, strong and nostalgic. Just a few steps from the bustling street, n yet felt far. The vendors sitting in shops opposite, staring at the small crowd gathered outside this 10*5 feet shop.

Badami, Khova, dry fruits, coconut, carrot, white, sugar, Dal, Toor, and the long list.. "What do I choose? One of each please." The extra dose of ghee melting on the hot yellow and orange holige.. Hot. Can't break it. Blow hard. Cool it down. Tear a small piece. Mouth wide open. N magically it dissolves... Soft, sweet, n simply yum. Delicious.

It is no wonder the big Kanti Sweets shops opposite stayed empty.

Money minded ppl making cheap tricks to earn more. My bill was RS.35. . Gave a 50 note & expected 15 as change. . .But he gave a Chikki instead of 5 rupees.
