South Inn — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I ordered 3 south meals which costed me Rs. 377 on Zomato and here is my review.

Rice - totally half cooked. Had digestion problem after having this. We have to dispose the left over rice during dinner. Had this food only for lunch.

Rasam and kurma - both slightly sweet in taste. Not real south indian.

Sambar - slightly bitter in taste. Might be they don't use the right oil to prepare the sambar.

Poriyal and chapati - just ok.

Kootu (dal) - just dal paste. No vegetables.

Kesari - mix of rava, essence and sugar. Nothing else. Better they can avoid this menu.

Overall this meals is not worth Rs. 120 (Zomato price) and Rs....

I have always tell people, in bangalore you go to any Dosa shop it will be awesome. But this restaurant is a disappointment being in the prime location in HSR. I feel petty for the people eating at this restaurant. People who have rated good here, you all need to try some other restaurant so you'll understand this is not authentic. The sambar was worst I had in my lifetime. Chutney was just water and took a while to understand that was chutney. Idly was hard and not even tasty. Im not understanding how this restaurant is still running. Please close it or change your chefs. Please don't give this...

South Inn restaurant is located in HSR layout, Sector 7. This restaurant is closed to our house to we visit here very often. I would recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried the original sambar. I don't think any other close by compititors can match tne taste of sambar. I don't typically like the red sambar as there is usually no taste. Try their idli vada and sambar, it's good.

It's value for money and they do accept payment through cash, card and all UPI payments. I love their tea. Their Masala dosa and Puri sabji...
