Tangerine — Restaurant in Bengaluru

"I had a Breakfast on 09/01/2020 at Davanam Sarovar Portico's Tangerine restaurant which is on 4th Floor and It's was Below Average experience, Not Hygeine at all, Restaurant people were very Rude or They tired being working there I don't know (Except - Mr. Rakesh who was very Presentable and Professional rest of all. Looks like people on training)".

*They have a Huge Buffet spread with Per pax charge of 495 all Inclusive but what's use of it they don't have Hygiene, they don't fill the items once it got over in the Counter, un courteous staff (Only couple are very Courteous). No Restaurent Music, No AC, No Lighting, pungent smells from The Carpet.

My Experience with Tangerine :-

*Front desk staff were very Friendly and Front desk Night shift staff especially the person at Front desk at 8:00am was very rude and No smile at all in the Face.

I sat at Table no - 21 and After sitting there for 10 Minutes then Mr.Ranjan who was present at the Bar counter behind table Non -21. Then I had Informed him that Iam walk-in would like to have breakfast then he Guide me to the Counter.

*Then I started With Idly / Methu Vada / Mysore Bonda along with Coconut and Masala Chatni - Which are very small in size and all these dishes were too cold and Very bad in taste. Then I had Requested for Plain Omlet - Which is OK in taste (Not good Or Not Bad).

*After this I had Chicken Sausages, Egg fritate - where these are Very good In Taste but it's Once again Cold and Egg fritate Have became very hard.

*Methi poori and Aloo - Poori too hard and Aloo too spicy.

*tamato rice and Chicken keema :- OK (Neither good nor Bad).

*Worst part was Bakery Items Which where not at all Fresh - Once you take a Bite you will feel It's Spoiled one. For Bakery Items they had A special Counter where they keep juices, deserts, corn flakes, cakes etc.. (In this Section the worst part is that there no hygiene , No Proper Preparation at all - It looks like its a Dhaba whether you eat you don't we don't care.

*Very few best things at Bakery Counter which are - veg Salads, smoothies, KaJu barfi, Pine apple Cake, juices, - These are very good and Rest are pale or spoiled items Like 2 or 3 days Ago Made.

*They have a Live Counter for omlets and You can Order from Your Tables as well - Food Items like dosa, parata, tea, Coffee, etc...,

*I had Requested for plain dosa to Mr. Ranjan out of My shock I had Waited for more than 30 minutes and Haven't got dosa. When ever I ask this Gentleman he use to dissaper or like ok sir I Will get it etc...,but I haven't got dosa.

they can make a Great Ambience in Tangerine Restaurent by Maintaining it well With proper presentation / taste / Warm food along with courteous staff and Definetly It will be in top most restaurants in Bangalore city.

*Special mentions from my side - Cut fruits / Fruit juices and omlets were good apart from this every other thing in buffet was either bad in taste or cold or not refilled.

*while paying the Bill It's formality everywhere around the World to ask how was the Experience - Hostess at Restaurant just taken my card and swipes it that's all. No thank you or visit again.. No ethics to the restaurant staff at all - Shouting Infront of guests itself like - Tum woh dekhna - Tujhe bola tha kyun Nahi kiya etc..., very bad experience for me - not only food taste or ambience even staff behavior will also plays an important role.

I have been attached the pics of unhygenic way of there food placing in dishes, un refilled food, live counter n food counter pics along with my bill n restaurant pics...

Nope , Not again and Never ... highly disappointed with the food buffet

Had only two veg starters and two non veg starters..guests in the table we need to keep asking to refill things .. paneer, cheese balls , hydrebab chicken and fish .. Fish had a plain taste.. it was my kids birthday and when i asked for cake they are charging extra (fine understandable)... Later the food part .. very limited choice...no juice .. no ice cream... only 4 chocolate cake desert ... Spending 1000 for such food is waste... Not sure how these many ppl gave good ratings ..

Good part was service is good ..that is not expected wen the food is not so great ...my kid was not happy too ... 😠

Whatever photos in the Google review.. Did not see anything on the table .... BADLY DISAPPOINTED .... wasted my money and Guests were not happy too ... will...

Tangerine is Davanam Sarovar Portico's coffee shop, located on the fourth floor, opposite the reception counter. The menu is a mix of Indian (including local and other South Indian specialties), popular western continental, and Chinese/East Asian dishes. Room service is also served through Tangerine.

I was here only for the breakfast buffet, which was part of my room tariff. The buffet had the usual fruit, juices, cereals, baked goods, some popular pan-Indian breakfats dishes like poha, parathas and aloo-poori, as well as local favourites like upma, idlis, vadas, etc. A live station serves up dosas, omelettes, and so on. Satisfactory. If you like coffee, be aware that they don't serve cappuccino etc - but their filter coffee...
