Charcoal : An Unforgettable Symphony of Fire and Flavour If you're searching for a dining experience that transcends a simple meal and becomes a core memory, look no further than charcoal. From the moment you step through the door, it's clear this is a place where every detail is meticulously crafted for excellence. My recent visit was nothing short of spectacular, setting a new benchmark for what a top-tier restaurant should be.
Ambience: A Modern Hearth The ambience at Charcoal is a masterclass in sophisticated warmth. The design effortlessly blends industrial chic with cozy, intimate comfort. Exposed brick walls and sleek metal accents are softened by the warm, low lighting that casts a golden glow across the room. The centerpiece, of course, is the open kitchen where you can catch glimpses of the roaring charcoal grills—a mesmerizing dance of flames and smoke that promises the feast to come. The air is subtly perfumed with the irresistible, primal scent of smoldering charcoal and searing meat, building anticipation without ever being overwhelming. The acoustics are perfectly balanced, allowing for easy conversation in a space that hums with a vibrant, yet relaxed, energy. It’s both dramatic and deeply inviting.
Service: Impeccable and Intuitive The service deserves its own standing ovation. We were greeted not just with a welcome, but with genuine warmth. Our server, was the epitome of professionalism—knowledgeable, attentive, and perfectly paced. They guided us through the menu with the confidence of a true expert, offering insightful recommendations on both food and pairings without ever feeling rushed. What truly set the service apart was its intuitive nature. Glasses were never empty, plates were cleared seamlessly between courses, and the entire staff operated with a quiet, synchronized efficiency that made us feel incredibly well-cared for. It was attentive without being intrusive, a rare and precious balance that elevates the entire experience.
The Culinary Star: The Charcoal Grill Now, for the main event: the food. The menu is a celebration of the charcoal grill, and it delivers on its promise with breathtaking precision. Starters: We began with the Chicken 65, which was tender and smoky, with a beautiful crisp exterior, paired with a zesty herb salad that cut through the richness perfectly. Its freshness elevated by the smokiness of grilled peaches and a drizzle of high-quality olive oil. The Mains: Mutton Curry was a showstopper. Cooked flawlessly to a perfect medium-rare, it possessed a profound, that only fire and time can create. The crust was a savory, crackling masterpiece. We also sampled the Butter chicken masala, which was incredibly moist and flaky, its delicate flavor enhanced by a subtle kiss of smoke from the grill.
The Verdict Charcoal is more than a restaurant; it's a destination. It masterfully captures the primal allure of cooking with fire and refines it into a sophisticated, modern, and utterly unforgettable dining experience. The ambience sets the stage, the service performs flawlessly, and the food is the undeniable star. This is a place for celebrations, for impressing a client, or for when you simply demand the very best. An unequivocal five-star experience that I am already eager to repeat.

Read moreI strongly suggest not to go to this place! Let me list down the reasons why this is the worst place to go!
Quality and quality - Quality was decent but quantity is very bad! For the price they have for each dish, they don't even serve the quantity for even half of it's price!! They will cover up the dish with onions and capsicum to make it look full! But it is not!!!
The Manager(who lied that he is the owner)- he is the worst ever manager I have seen in any restaurants or restobars! ... We had already ate everything and the table was cleared for the next order expect a hookah pot was there on the table! This guy came to our table and said you are 6 people and have you ordered only one hookah all these while? We said no, we had already order many dishes and now we will order after a while as our stomach is full! He said what have you ordered? You are occuping 6 ppl table and ordered worth of 1500 or 2000rs food?On the other table there are 4 ppl and they are making a 10k bill. This was ridiculous!!! And the fact is we had already ordered for around 4-5k by then! Without checking he came and made this stupid and ridiculous talk to us! Our bill was around 6k in total!
So this manager wants you to make order above 10k if you are going in group! Is this the way one runs a restaurant?????
Literally there is no worth going here! Waste of money! First increase the quantity of food you are giving and quality of service! Then talk about money!
I hope my review is read and some action is...
Read moreA good place for Hookah lovers and note that they don't serve beer or any other liquor except Wine at this time. We thought that they'll at least have beer on the outlook of the place and were terribly disappointed when the waiter announced otherwise. We ordered Ginger Chicken, Chicken 65 and Charcoal Non Veg Rice among a few other dishes. Garlic Chicken was bland, without flavors, chicken was rubbery. Chicken 65 was slightly better than the garlic chicken but not something that I would order again. Charcoal Rice way the only item that was good, not great but a very different kind of fried rice with large chunks of fried chicken, tasted bland initially but adding a little extra salt and pepper improved the taste instantly. They also had run out of meat & fish barbeque we were interested in either, part of the family pack offer. *Not a very pleasant first time impression. Service was fine and the ambience is at most unique, nothing great at least during noon times, place will very likely look better during night time. Note: They don't have AC either, it's more of a open space but they do...
