A good place to try Chennai style biryani in and around Kammanahalli. This biryani stall is located on CMR main road near Vasan Eye care/CMR school. They only serve biryani in the evening after 7:30pm. As of now, only chicken biryani, kushka and kabab are available, they might introduce more items in near future. Token system for getting your order. This is a stand and eat zone, no chairs or table. Parking is a big problem as this place is at a high traffic zone. Biryani taste is good, good in the sense, it is almost similar to chennai style. Non-Chennaites might feel this is more like tomato rice with chicken. But believe me this biryani is good when served hot and fresh. Quantity wise, one plate is more than enough for an adult. Price is very reasonable, 1 plate biryani was INR 110 for parcel. They provide biryani in a plastic container. For people who want to eat there itself, they serve biryani on banana leaf and areca plates. Biryani has good amount of masala, watch out for various spices when you take a bite. The area is not lit properly hence chances of eating with spices are more. Biryani is served with Raitha only, no brinjal gravy here. Pls get your own water bottles. Kabab was similar to other eateries in this area, nothing great or bad. It was good.
There are very few hotels or eateries in Kammanahalli where you get freshly made biryani in the evening. Definitely a worth try biryani.
I would recommend to take parcel from here and have it at the comfort of your home.
Service is good, the boys are managing it...

If you’re a hardcore non-veg lover, Pandiyas Biryani in HRBR Layout is an absolute must-visit! This small eatery may not look fancy, but the taste speaks louder than anything else.
🍗 Chicken Biryani is their hero dish – simple, flavorful, and cooked to perfection with just the right balance of spices. At just ₹120, it’s one of the best value-for-money biryanis you’ll find in Bengaluru. They also serve delicious kebabs that perfectly complement the biryani.
⏰ The shop runs only in the evenings (7:30 PM to 10:00 PM, closed on Mondays), and the crowd says it all – weekends are always packed! There’s usually a queue for both dine-in and parcels, so my suggestion is to reach by 7:00 PM and grab your token to avoid disappointment.
The vibe is straightforward: small shop, no-frills, but big on taste. If you’re in and around Kalyan Nagar or HRBR Layout, and craving authentic, budget-friendly chicken biryani, this is your spot.
👉 Pro tip: Go a little early, especially on weekends, as stock...
Read moreGood biryani, not great, too expensive for a street food joint. Used Basumati rice, which doubles when cooked and main reason its been pushed with paid reviews and now people fallen for it, as cheap for commercial purposes. Oil could have been lesser, though not as much as mughal style.
Its ₹110/- per plate of chicken biryani, with good 3 chicken pieces, not enough rice for most people, ok for me. They add more rice to some customers if they spoke their language, was noticed, not professional. Person issuing tokens way too slow.
The takeaway charge of ₹10/- for two boxes costing ₹5-6 at most for total ₹120/- for one chicken biryani was disappointing considering it was Basumati rice with less quantity. Raita was ok, as waterish, cheap for ₹120/ plate. Overall not bad, well made as fresh, but too expensive as not a restaurant with its...
