Udupi Garden Jakkur — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Went there in the evening around 6 pm. I saw "IDLI" on the menu, and so i ordered couple of them with some fresh juice on side. I saw them take the IDLI out of a oven type of container (possibly where it was kept warm from the morning leftovers). The very same night i developed diarrhea + mild fever that last for many days - indicating food poisoning. I had to take a flight within couple of days, and had to go to hospital get medication to control the frequent toilet visits.

I would suggest to the owner to pay attention to cleanliness and quality of food because this is a good location with lot of business potential. Pardon the bad review, but someone had to tell the owner to fix the problems, otherwise he would never know. Never serve food that is older than 4 hours (for a restaurant, i understand few hours maybe part of business). One of the worst people I’ve ever come across works here — someone named Naveen. He has absolutely no basic manners or civic sense when it comes to dealing with customers. His tone, attitude, and behavior are completely unacceptable for someone working in a hospitality environment. It’s shocking and disappointing to see such a person representing the hotel.

If the owner or management truly care about their customers and the reputation of their establishment, they should take this matter seriously and take strict action. Allowing someone like Naveen to continue interacting with guests is only damaging the image and credibility of this place.

This is our go to place for weekend dinners or a quick lunch when we need to eat outside.

Believe me when I say this, I have been to A LOT of Udupi themed hotels like gardens, Sagars, grands, Upahars, etc, hands down this is the best version. Any new Udupi we went to in recent times wouldn't stand a chance.

Pros: Taste is the best, really good chai/coffee, the place is clean, counter service was fast, a lot of parking space 2/4 wheelers.

Cons: They don't have a table service option (purely self-service), Tables are limited especially on Holidays...
