Udupi Utsav - Pure Veg — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Been to this place abt 3 4 times. Nothing special abt the taste, just like any other Udupi restaurants, but there was this one time that i had dinner here and I was out for almost 15hrs straight, not sure if they had mixed gusgus or something and didn't even know how i slept the whole of next day. On another Sunday I went with family, had ordered for butter masala dosa among other things, the butter masala was so salty that when we had informed the server he was so rude in responding saying there was no chance of dosa being salty, we told its not the dosa but the butter part for which his response is, "its obvious that butter would be salty." Salty is fine to some extent but not to the level where your BP shoots up instantly. We had no problem paying for the dosa or the plain masala dosa we ordered but the problem is the way they responded when we were only suggesting it was salty and not even complaining.

Never stepping in there again. To all who go eat there, enjoy your food with some rude service. Cheers.

One mistake I did was, I should have taken the pic of the food and the bill to raise a complaint with FSSAI.

Just a footnote to anyone who experience bad food or rude behaviour in hotels and restaurants kindly take pics of the food and bill to raise...

Excellent pure vegetarian South Indian snacks and food. Very authentic in taste. Unique spread from olden times and it's pocket friendly. Sunday food on plantain leaf is a must have here. Quite crowded and waiting time is high on Sundays. Ambiance is good. There is parking space outside. If you want a nice palatable traditional south indian food served on banana leaf idli vada dosa with sambar curry and coconut chutney was great. you have to definitely visit this place. they have a good menu for the tiffin breakfast lunch and dinner can improve further on the taste and hospitality front... one of the best in and around this area. Very good south Indian cuisine.Vegetarian food. The service was very good and the staff nice and courteous. Not very crowded.The interior can do with some renovation.
