I ordered Blue Lagoon Classic Shirley Temple Crunchy Water Chestnuts in Hot & Sweet Glaze Crispy Lotus Stem with Sweet Dilli Wale Bread Pakodey Mini Gun Powder Idly Alfredo Veg Pizza Veg Khow Suey Choco Lava Cake What's In A Name Tiramisu Mango Cheesecake.
• Blue Lagoon - This drink is popular summer mocktail. Combination of Lime & Raspberry. It was simple & mild in taste.
• Classic Shirley Temple - Combination of ginger and spalsh of grenadine with maraschino cherry.
• Crunchy Water Chestnuts in Hot & Sweet Glaze - One of my favorites from menu. Water Chestnuts were fresh and tossed with sweet glaze. This was one of the unique dish I have tasted here.
• Cripsy Lotus Stem with Sweet - Cripsy Lotus Stem is the new Black in restrobars. It was crispy from out and sweet coated.
• Dilli Wale Bread Pakodey - Desi starter from the menu. Secret spices tossed with bread Pakodey and served with mint chutney.
• Mini Gun Powder Idly - One of the best south indian starter we can order here. Authentic Andhra Gun Powder tossed with Mini button Idlies.
• Alfredo Veg Pizza - Mushrooms, Paparika, Bell Peppers, Capsicum & Mozzarella cheese served with thin crust. Pizza had that punch back taste. It was hot & fresh served.
• Veg Khow Suey - Soup dish made with egg noodles & curried coconut milk, it was served with various contrasting condiments. It was fresh & good in taste. Chef himself had served us.
• Choco Lava Cake - It was bit hard. I prefer choc lava cake to be hot & smooth served.
• What's In A Name Tiramisu - Coffee flavoured italan dessert. It was bit hard and taste was bit flavour less.
• Mango Cheesecake - One of the show stealed dessert from the desserts menu. Cheesecake was thick and good in taste.
Overall
What's In A Name is one of the best & pocket friendly boozing & community kind restrobars. They have a new menu with new items. I suggest What's In A Name for who love to hangout with semi industrial & decor interiors. One place to sit back and relax you drink.

What's in a Name ? Is a restobar dedicated to music ,the decor here reflects this philosophy through out. The entrance greets you with a wall which has actual records from The Beatles ,Jim Reeves ,Elvis Presley and so on ,the seating is both indoors and outdoors with lights complimenting the vibe of the place ! Some highlights of the interiors are paintings done on cassettes ,wall posters of old retro bands and record covers with comfortable and more importantly very spacious seating ! This place also has events related to music which takes place every evening ! Overall I would say if you are an ardent music lover ,the vibes of this place will immobilize you.
Coming to the food started with Mini Gun Powder Idli ,liked it and it was a pretty good portion to ,but I felt the masala could have been milder ,one starter you guys should try here is Crunchy Waterchesnuts with sweet and hot glaze ,too good ,one of the best Waterchesnuts dish I have tasted in a while.
Dilli wali bread pakoda was super fine and well made with with green chilli stuffed ,this is a perfect accompaniment with beer along with the water chestnuts. One of the typical starters I ordered was Panko Stuffed Cheese and Jalapeno sticks , perfectly made ,the flavour was good ,texture was good ,overall the starters were pretty good ,I would say you can go here for the starters and beer.
Coming to the main course ,Burmese Khao Suey veg ,the curry was perfect ,all accompaniments ,such as egg ,veggies and fried noodles and groundnut were amazing ,Khao Suey was a go ahead for me and a reccomendable. Coming to the veg pizza ,we got the cheese sauce pizza with mozzarella cheese on top ,it was good enough, but I personally do not like cheese sauce !
Desserts are to speak here ,choco lave cake was a quite a large portion ,hot chocolate sauce filled ,the Tiramisu Cake was good to, again the portions were good enoigh, tasted pretty well, please do not miss the seasonal fruit cheesecake ,now they have mango cheese cake ,too good ,the texture ,taste everything about is really good ! A must try!

Read moreI had high hopes for "What's in a Name" in Koramangala, especially since it came highly recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations.
First off, the place was incredibly cramped. We visited on a Saturday evening, which was perhaps not the best choice as it was karaoke night. What should have been a fun atmosphere turned into an absolute disaster. The noise level was unbearable, making it impossible to have a conversation without shouting.
The staff, to their credit, were friendly and attentive. However, the food left much to be desired. Most of the dishes were overly spicy and didn't agree with me at all. It was disappointing, especially considering the rave reviews I had heard.
The karaoke was the final straw. It’s supposed to be an engaging activity for guests, but when I registered for my turn, my name was mysteriously removed. It seemed that the karaoke caterer had a preference for regulars, which left me feeling sidelined.
Overall, despite the friendly service, my experience at "What's in a Name" was less than stellar. The combination of cramped space, overly spicy food, and a disappointing karaoke experience made it a night I wouldn't want to repeat. IN RESPONSE TO THE REPLY GIVEN TO THIS REVIEW.
I recently visited What's In A Name and had an incredibly disappointing experience, both during my visit and with their response to my feedback.
I gave my name for karaoke well before 10 PM, yet I was apparently called up around 1 AM, something I only found out from my friends who were there. When we politely asked the Karaoke Jockey for an estimated time for my turn, we were told to go away (my friend who went up to asked and said we we had to leave by 12:30). This was highly unprofessional and left me feeling disrespected.
In addition, the response I received after sharing my experience was dismissive and condescending. The restaurant’s management seemed more interested in defending their practices than addressing my concerns. Taste is indeed subjective, and while I understand that spicy food is a specialty, their response to my feedback about the food felt unnecessary and lacked empathy.
I believe customer reviews are personal opinions, and businesses should respect them rather than dismiss them. My experience with the karaoke and the subsequent communication has left a sour taste, and I doubt I'll...
