Good place to eat. We used to have occassional dinner here. The starter section is much better as compared to main course. We had a variety of both veg and non veg starters like chicken lollipop, paneer chatpata which was awesome and surprisingly good very well with naan. Other veg starters like crispy american corn was also good. They do customise the spice levels according to your requirement if you let the server know. The soup section was also good. We requested the manchow soup without soy sauce and it taste really nice. We also ordered the veg hot and sour it was bit spicy but the taste was nice and stuffings were good. In the main course we ordered chicken biriyiani and naan along with another order of the paneer chatpata. The butter and garlic naan were soft and hot. I would give the naan a rating of 3.75 out of 5 . It could have been a bit more soft. However the chicken biriyani had essence and could be felt immensly which i didnt like. The chicken pieces were not tender and a little hard. I had it earlier before lockdown and the taste was much better. Overall the experience was good as per the dishes. The food rate was also in budget and the servers were helpful and friendly. Ambience was good and clean.
There is ample of parjing place in the food court for car and bikes. The car parking is inside where guards will guide you. There are numerous other food place in the...
Read moreI have dined in at this 99 North location a few times before writing this review. This review is for my dinner on Saturday 1st July with four other family memebers. Our order was two chicken starters, one chicken curry, garlic naan, vegetarian noodles and chatpataa mix vegetables accompanied by plain white rice.
Chicken starters were below par and the chili chicken had stale chicken pieces. You could see the brownish texture of the chicken, the kind of color and texture you get if you put the chicken in refrigerator for long, once you cut into the pieces. Veg chatpataa was extremely tangy. This dish was left unfinished. All of us tried tasting it before asking the server and all agreed that it was not edible. Asked our server if we could order something else, she responded that this is how the dish is supposed to be 😯 and it will take a long time if we order anything else now. Chicken curry was underwhelming. Chicken pieces were undercooked. Left it unfinished. Naan was chewy at best. Vegetarian Noodles was decent but had an underlying egg flavor to it. I didn’t mind it but vegetarian members were not so happy.
Overall service was bad. No glasses on table for water. No cutlery provided. When asked again to our server, in a friendly manner, what happened to the service she responded this is how the service has been
I wouldn’t...
Read moreI visited this place recently 2nd time, nothing much changed over the years.Ordered tandoori roti, manchow soup, veg kolhapuri and mushroom do pyaza. Also I visited 2 years back with my elder brother and a common friend. That was my first visit to this restaurant. By coincidence,I met my MBA course co-coordinator there who was also having dinner with his friends after 14 years. Any way, being a vegetarian, I ordered veg food while others ordered non-veg food. The food was very good, I enjoyed a lot. A decent restaurant with decent pricing, I am not sure whether increased over the years by now. Most restaurants in Bhubaneswar offer decent food at affordable prices and some little bit more priced but manageable if you eat once in a while. Obviously most AC and fancy restaurants charge more for the amenities ,food, service they give,so one has to keep that in mind. A good atmosphere. Overall a good experience. This is close to my house 1-1.5 kilometer distance and also I travel by that road regularly. May visit again. Due to Covid, I have restricted my movement for past 2 years and many food outlets and places I used to visit have also been closed, out of which a few were my favourite. Rated for the last visit. Lets hope this time the experience remains same or...
