Three King Restaurant — Restaurant in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation

This review is from couple of months back!

Was here last Saturday for one of my friend's birthday treat, which he gave with one more friend of mine.

Ambience: Very well decorated, contemporary alongwith comfortable seating sofa makes it one amazing environment for fine dining.

Music: When we went, for some reason unknown, for the entire duration of 2½ hours, all the songs they played were of Atif Aslam, I don't know what's the scene there.

Food: We were 10 people, who went there for casual Dinner outing. Must say, we tried quite a few items.

To start with, their welcome drink, was very nice. Then, we ordered Masala Papad (Roasted) which was again pretty nice. Then we ordered two chicken starters, of which one was edible (Al-faham), while the other one got our tastebuds buzzing (Barbeque). Then we got ourselves a Mutton Soup, which was legit a let down considering the price and what they served later on. Then after we tried Hara Bhara Kebab ( we had one vegetarian guy with us ), which was also amazing and tasted very rich. Then we ordered Mushroom Starter, again a let down. Then after we went on to order the main course, Rara Chicken and then some Tikka Masaledar Chicken dish, both were good in terms of quantity, but somehow tasted the same. We ordered a Mutton dish ( don't remember the name) which was just amazing. Nicely cooked and well, pretty yummy! Along with which we took breads of the following type: Tandoori Butter Roti Garlic Butter Nan Masala Kulcha Lachcha Paratha

All of which were nice. The Kulcha was a bit too salty though.

Now came the time to get Desserts, for which we had : Mini Falooda Love in Bhubaneswar Icecream

Both were amazing, the following day we went again to have a bite of that. Must try.

And I would like to recommend : Gaajar Halwa of this place, it feels so much like Ghar ka Halwa. And then if you be adventurous, try it with some Icecream of your choice.

Desserts were the best part of our dinner.

Pricing: Modestly priced, just for a hint, for an awesome filling dinner of 10 people, cost us around ₹5000/- , so I would say, ₹1000/- for two people here is the standard rate.

The desserts aren't overpriced though. Do try them.

Great Food, But Horrible Service & Payment Experience

I’ve been a frequent visitor to this restaurant because the food quality is usually great. This time, however, the service was absolutely pathetic and left a bad taste despite the good food.

I had made a reservation via EazyDiner, and before entering, I clarified my booking, which the restaurant accepted without any issues. We ordered multiple dishes—some were excellent, but the mutton dish was disappointing. Overall, the food was fine, but what completely ruined our experience was the unprofessional behavior of the staff, especially the manager.

When it was time to pay, I opted to pay via EazyDiner because I had a 25% discount offer through my credit card. To my shock, the staff refused to accept payments via EazyDiner, claiming they had to pay a commission. Instead, they kept insisting that I pay via their UPI, completely disregarding my booking and the agreed terms. This was never communicated upfront, which is highly unprofessional.

We had to argue for a long time, which completely spoiled the mood after our meal. Instead of honoring the payment method they initially accepted, they offered a measly 5% discount (₹70), which I declined out of principle. Eventually, I had no choice but to pay via UPI, which was extremely frustrating and unfair.

I have reported this to EazyDiner, and I sincerely hope they take action against such unethical practices. For those planning to visit, I strongly recommend checking in advance whether they accept EazyDiner payments or simply avoid booking through EasyDiner altogether to prevent such a frustrating situation.

This restaurant needs to train its staff, especially the billing manager, on how to speak to customers professionally. If they don’t want to accept payments through EazyDiner, they should clearly mention it upfront rather than putting customers in an uncomfortable and unpleasant situation.

Good food, but terrible service and lack of transparency—management must take responsibility...

pathetic, ridiculous service by the staffs. no one takes a proper followup. we went their to celebrate a birthday and it was a disappointment. i don't know why this happened yesterday night. my previous visits were of superb experience with the food and drinks. the staff members weren't trained enough or they are trained and they are not honest towards their job. if you order something, they take a long time to serve, even when the restaurant runs barely a full house. the condiments arrived late, while we almost finished the starters. their signature dish - al faham chicken ordered lacked the regular taste, not juicy as always. it was simply overdone, overburnt, likely raw and was served. the starters were served late. it was my bad luck, i chose to dine on a Tuesday dinner here, when usual households don't cook nonveg dishes and they may have served me a Sunday chicken, which was kept at their cooling unit. I can feel that, when i had that al faham chicken. thankfully, the main course was good. Lastly, they had changed their menu recently, not more than 7-8 days back, as i went their on 5th of Feb for a team lunch. Their mocktail menu was changed as well,mocktail name remains the same, but their garnishing and glass has changed. nevertheless, the bartender told us the drink name has been the same, but they changed the glass and garnishing. then we ordered again a mocktail,just the same base as the previous mocktail and garnishing.a very unpleasant visit and experience. i have called the owner of too, as his number was not reachable, sent a voice note over whatsapp, but haven't received any reply, so posting my experience here.. in the bill, they haven't added the mocktails, fyi, which i noticed once I was on my way back to home. surprisingly, was that done to hide their mistake by the billing manager!!!
