Visited your KIIT branch for a dine-in with family. We walked in to the cashier to have a look at the menu and place order. Our order amounted to INR 865 and we handed over INR 1000 even before taking our seats, so that we close the order and comfortably wait for the food to come in. The lady cashier was so stubborn and arrogant that she asked for phone number, when we said we can't provide she said I can't give you the bill. I said there is no such law In India which says that phone number is mandatory to provide the bill for a transaction. You give us a physical bill and that we don't need an e-bill through WA or SMS. The next episode came when we handed over INR 1000 and she refused to give us change for remaining INR 135. While she knew that we were dine-in customers and she could have easily taken comfortable time to hand over the remaining change while we would have had the food at the table. But she was so ill-mannered that she just kept standing. We understood that this is a stale-mate situation and we should cancel the order as this behaviour indicates high-handedness and gross mis-behaviour to the dine-in customer. We walked off. I want to convey you a message - in hospitality business, a satisfied customer may or may not promote your brand/business outside, but a dis-satisfied customer will go to all extent to foul-mouth and spread negative reviews about you. This is bitter truth, and I hope the management of this franchise/company owned Biriyani Box outlet atleast reads this message, so that they either train their staff well or recruit staff of good quality who help them sustain their business with good-will among customers. Thank you and I will never ever visit a Biriyani Box outlet in India....
Read moreObviously, the Biryani here is very good. I haven't tasted much of the rest, but Butter Masala Chicken is good/okay. Mutton Roll is also okay.
Some things I don't like here:-
Inspite of my several requests, they didn't provide lemon water/soda instead of the soft drink, in the Biryani combo. The two drinks have similar rates in the menu. I am not complaining, that must be their rule or policy or something, but I don't like their rigidness(even in the small issues) and may be they should consider making small exceptions now and then - it was not a very big request. And there is a reason for it - there are some people to whom caffeine doesn't suit, so there should be one option for a non-caffeinated beverage.
The Egg Roll is totally different from that served in the Saheed Nagar Branch. And it's not as good in taste as that served there.
There is no dustbin! What kind of a place in the current era, doesn't have such small thing as a Dustbin?!!
The menu designer, it seems, doesn't know English(especially the meaning of d word 'feast'). I ordered a item/dish from the feast section, hoping for more than enough food. What I got was a measly two pieces of chicken. It's somewhat misleading and they should consider...
