Horrible Experience at Hotel Challenger - Avoid at All Costs!
I recently had the worst dining experience at Hotel Challenger. My friend and I visited for lunch and ordered two mutton curries, rice, and papad. To our surprise, the waiter informed us that mutton wasn't available and suggested mutton keema instead. We reluctantly agreed and placed our order, which also included a fish masala plate, another mutton curry, dal, papad, and two rice. Upon receiving our food, we were disappointed to find that the dal had a burnt smell, the mutton keema had very little mutton and was mixed with other parts, and the fish was tasteless and seemed to be old. When we tried to complain to the hotel manager or owner, they refused to listen. We expressed our intention to file a complaint with the FSSAI due to the adulterated mutton and poor quality food, but the manager only asked if we had the FSSAI madam's number. We replied yes, but they never called. It's surprising that the hotel seems to have connections with FSSAI officials. Despite our terrible experience and the clear evidence of subpar food, the hotel staff showed no remorse or willingness to address our concerns. I strongly advise everyone to avoid Hotel Challenger at all costs. Their food is not only inedible but also...
Read moreOn Sunday visited this place during lunch hours. Ordered 3 chicken biriyani, a chicken tikka masala, a butter naan. Going to share my overall experience. This place is really crowded in weekends I guess. If the seats are full then you have to wait for dine in. firstly they will serve you the water bottle and salad plate which costs you 20 rupees and 10 rupees respectively. We ordered the above items then. Coming to the review of food the Biriyani was just above average. Means rice quality was really good. Something different and unique flavor of the biriyani in which cinnamon and black pepper flavor was dominant. But the authentic dum taste of biriyani was still missing. It costs us 170 each plate. With 3 big pieces of chicken and she sufficient amount of rice. It's taste can be modified. So for biriyani wanna give 7/10 The chicken tikka masala was really good. A little bit spicy with good flavors. 5 medium pieces of chicken with that masala Curry, it was a great combo with butter naan i must say. So wanna rate this 8/10 The serving staff's behavior was really good. They are really dealing greatly such a big crowds all over the tables. They are really polite. So overall experience was good means just above average. means if we score out of 10 then I must say it was 7/10. If they enhance the biriyani flavor with authentic dum biriyani style then this place is going to be a 10/10 for sure. The prices were also decent, not too high...
Read moreWorst food & service quality. The today's special items mentioned in the entrance door is a scam & fraud. All items are equal to road side dhabas, fast food stalls & hotels in quality, taste, quantity & overall. There is no point to spend double money as compared to road side stalls where the items, taste, quality all are same. Mentioned as Special chciken dum biriyani is worst scam ever @₹160. Its same as road side mobile biriyani stalls which are available at ₹80 to 90. Couldn't eat the biriyani & the chicken piece provided are very cheap & low quality. There is no leg or chest piece, only ribs with black fleshes & worst quality made availble. This was my last visit. Quality restaurants are giving nice quality food with 1 leg piece, egg & chest piece in a ₹150+ chicken dum biriyani everywhere...
