HORRIBLE RESTAURANT DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE. MISLEADING INFO ON SEARCH ENGINES.
My husband and I came to this restaurant to have lunch earlier this week. We entered the premises had a bit of a roam around to find a good seat but all throughout nobody even acknowledged our presence (mind you we were the only customers in the restaurant). The staff were just passing us as if we weren't there - including the manager/supervisor (which we assumed since he was wearing a suit) who just stayed at one corner on his mobile. The server came to our table and just handed out the menu without even uttering a single word to us and left. Originally, we planned on having a full course meal but opted to just order starters because we wanted to leave as soon as possible. The quality of the food was not impressive and definitely not up to how much they charge for it. When we tried to have some water from the bottle on the table, my husband realized that the cap was not sealed. The entire thing came off including the ring which is supposed to be left on the bottle when you break the seal. He explained to the server that the cap was not sealed but he was not understood properly, he confided with another guy at the bar who seemed just irritated we were making a fuss over a water bottle. Eventually my husband went up to him to try and explain that the bottle was not sealed but all he was saying is we had to pay for the bottle since we already "opened" it. Paying was not the issue we were more than willing to but just a simple acknowledgement of our concern would have made a big difference. We paid our bill and just wanted to get out of that place immediately but 'till the end nobody even said thank you to us.
I think we would have been able to justify the horrible service if it was a stand alone restaurant but what's even more disappointing is that it's under what supposedly one of the "best hotels" in Bhubaneswar which should be the best places where we can experience QUALITY SERVICE. My husband and I have both established careers overseas under hospitality so we know how tedious each and every detail is behind the scenes. And we could tell just how much effort was exerted in the ambiance of the place and the menu which was well thought of. But it's just so sad that the efforts of these people behind the scenes are wasted because they've chosen the wrong people at the front lines who directly interact with...
Read moreCalled the restaurant 2 hours prior to book a table. The restaurant was like was “yes” “sure” “no problem”. Went there to find out that our tables were not booked. Upon asking the staffs there they ask “ can you name the person who you had a chat with?” Guess from now I need ask names of staffs and then say the name of the staff otherwise tables won’t be booked at this place. Never in my life have heard of such system of booking. After standing with my family for a table they gave us a table with the promise that the said booked table will be vacant in few minutes till then we can place the order. I’m very sure this place has extremely undertrained staffs as we sat for a good long time and guess what nobody came to take orders. We called and requested the staffs several times to take orders as I took my family there seeking for a good time but none of the staffs bothered to listen to us. All we got was numerous head nods. I completely understand that the food at such places cost a bit more than average restaurants because of the quality of serve but when the service is way below average even way below than local average roadside dhabas then I don’t know what to say. I would not recommend anybody to...
Read moreThe service here is always good. The warmth and hospitality keeps bringing us back. Also the ambience is lovely which everyone raves about.
The coffee was good as usual. And the piece de resistance was the Lemon Cheesecake of which we had two (tbh we were a group of 4). The best I have had in Bhubaneswar. A silky and divine texture. No one can eat just one.
My friends raved about the fish wasabi even my friend who's not so found of fish loved the sauce.
Mushroom stuffed baked potato retained its exceptional taste the second time we had it.
Mushroom salt and pepper was good.
Saunfia Paneer Tikka give it a pass if you're expecting something spicy which was the case with me. I was disappointed because I had specifically asked for something spicy and it was recommended. Suitable for foreign palate not ours.
Hence jumped at the chance when Chilli Garlic Noodles was recommended and it ticked all the boxes.
Wasn't a fan of the Dahi kabab (it was too sweet for my taste) but my friends loved it....
