We had lunch on a Monday and here is my summary. Too small a place. Capacity = ~20 per. It felt like food was prepared somewhere else and served here. Everything very very less in quantity. Quantity of rice and daal is particularly pathetic for its price. The plain simple (no phurans, jeera, masala) mug-masoor dal costing 35 INR was only ~100 ml in quantity (the daal bowl was a bit bigger than your usual ice-cream cup). Bhetki maacher paturi was just 5cm×3cm in size. Mutton dak-bunglow tasted good with 3 pcs of mutton and an egg, but the mutton had to be cooked more. It had more bone than flesh. Dab chingri was also good in taste and size of chingri. We had doi-aam as dessert and that tasted great. Waiters are in a hurry to take away the empty plates from your table. It indicates that they want you to eat fast and leave quickly.
I would not willingly come back here again as I was not satisfied about the food in quantity and taste. This chain restaurant has deteriorated than what it was...
Read moreWhenever I am at Kolkata, Bhojohori Manna is my favourite place to have lunch & dinner. I like this most:
👍 Foods are really very tasty & amazing. It is not possible to explain in words 👍 A wide variation 👍 All items are fresh 👍 Good atmosphere 👍 Well maintained & clean
Few things I want to mention if the same thing can be looked into in future:
😍 Space is very less, sometimes people needs to wait for long. I have the same experience at dinner, finally I took parcel since it was going to close. 😍 Food is little costly, there are so many people who wants to taste but because of price they cant proceed. If price can reduce slightly, (obviously without any compromise with Bhojohori Manna Quality) it will be grateful. 😍 Can be set up beautiful old classical music as background songs. Finally, Bhojohori Manna is one of the best restaurant,...
Read moreMy recent experience with their Salt Lake branch was horrible! I had ordered a Dhonepata Mutton (3pcs) from their Salt Lake branch through SWIGGY. The food that arrived was not at all Dhonepata Mutton. There were only two pieces of mutton, that too only bones. They looked like leftovers. The mutton (or what was left of it) was extremely tough. Could not be eaten at all. Also, the gravy was non existent. Attaching pictures of the same. It is appalling how they are cheating customers and providing bad quality and insufficient food. I am never visiting their Salt Lake branch. They didn't even receive the phone when I called them. Horrible cook,...
