Read moreThank goodness for Indian Coffee House. Clean, warm, welcoming and certainly very popular. Great South Indian breakfasts and coffee. The Thali was disappointing - not bad, but not exceptional either. The mutton biriyani and mutton rogan josh were absolutely delicious. We loved the uniforms - those turbans were fantastic minutes walking form the railway, lies this restaurant serving snacks and full time meals. Rice, vegetables\ Chicken are of good quality and cooked to perfection. Price is nominal whereas quantity of a full plate rice might be too much for a person with low appetite. I preferred lunch here after a long day. We were 4 people , though the food was average the service standards were pathetic. Will not recommend to go with the family or somebody who need a basic level service. The prices are kept low on menu but are effectively expensive as the portion size is not standard or relatively small. Overall...

The sandwich lacked filling (and had more coleslaw than chicken), the cutlets were dry, burnt, and I couldn't find any bits of chicken in it. The texture of the dosa was okay but overall, it did not meet expectations at all. The sambar and the coconut chutney were made with old ingredients. If I could tell how old was the food just by smelling it just shows how old the food actually is! The 'cold' coffee was barely even cool, no froth at all, and had more chocolate than coffee. The only thing okay was the tea.
After this experience, it has become quite reasonable why I would splurge on actual good coffee from expensive shop rather than a cup of cheap coffee from an equally cheap 'coffeehouse'. I mean, why even call yourself a COFFEEHOUSE when you can't even make a decent...
