I had the opportunity to dine at Drink and Dine (DAD), and here I share my thoughts on the experience.
My experience here is basis Buffet dining and not à la carte.
While the establishment has potential, there are a few areas that could benefit from some attention and improvement.
Firstly, the ambience of the restaurant left me somewhat disappointed. The space felt cluttered, and it detracted from the overall dining experience. I would suggest considering a more open and organized layout, allowing guests to feel more comfortable and relaxed while enjoying their meal.
Moving on to the food, I must admit that my expectations were not fully met. The dishes I tried had scope for improvement. It would be wonderful to see a greater focus on enhancing the flavors and presentation of the dishes to create a more memorable culinary experience for patrons.
Another aspect that stood out was the limited variety on the menu. It would be beneficial to expand the options available to cater to a wider range of preferences and dietary needs. Specially in the starter section. A diverse menu can truly elevate the dining experience, attracting a larger customer base and providing returning guests with fresh choices to explore.
Lastly, I would like to address the service I received during my visit. It fell short of what I would consider satisfactory. The staff seemed overwhelmed, leading to delays and a lack of attentiveness. Investing in staff training and ensuring adequate staffing levels can greatly improve the overall service quality, making guests feel valued and well taken care of.
In conclusion, I genuinely believe that Drink and Dine (DAD) has the potential to become a remarkable dining destination. Addressing the concerns of cluttered space, average food, limited variety, and poor service will undoubtedly contribute to a more enjoyable experience for customers. By making these suggested improvements, I am confident that the restaurant can reach new heights and provide a memorable culinary journey for all its guests.
Nevertheless, on the positive side I would add here that it is a good value deal for the money paid for buffet, i.e. for 299/- per head it is a good option.
My Overall rating could have been 4 considering value for money; but with minus one keeping it at 3, just because of the poor...
Read moreWell not a very pleasant meal we had there.
I'll start with the positives first. Interior is good and pleasant to the eyes. Only good thing I got was drink Guava Punch was good. On The beach needs more balancing it felt like cranberry juice only no other flavors could be felt.
Everything else needs lots of attention. I went there as it was most reviewed restaurant in the spectrum mall as of today. But google reviews failed us in this case. But everything we ordered disappointed us.
In starters we ordered Drums of heaven: felt more like fried wings with no good or additional flavors. I think image should tell you the same. Cigar roll: average taste and texture and sad enough was the best dish served that night.
For main course we had Deewani Handi: It was mix veg in base of palak and it was the most blended dish of the night. Mutton rogan josh: Below average mutton again it could be better cooked with much more rich flavors at home.
Breads were also not cooked properly.
Coming to service which was also below par. Reason: First, they offered us table for 2 when we were 3 adults with 1 kiddo. So, we had to ask for something little, bigger. Once starters were served, we were rushed to main course by asking us twice if they can server the next course when half of the starters were clearly still there in platters. And it is not like we were just killing time sitting there, we were eating with, and you can't expect the guest to just swallow everything in 5 minutes. Then ultimately in couple of minutes they put up full plates at the table to step up the pressure and I had enough till that point.
AC vent was right above my head and chilling like anything and even on request of slow it a bit nobody gave a dam about it. Family on adjacent table also requested but to no avail.
Price for this place would be 1000+ per pax without any mocktails and make it above 1500 if drinks are included.
First, I thought maybe my selection of food was not good but if they fail to deliver a single dish which I can call above average at least then something it not right for sure.
In summary for me it was the biggest disappointment I've had...
Read moreToday, I had an utterly disappointing experience at Drink and Dine by Terrace in Metro Mall, Sector 75. The level of unprofessionalism and mismanagement I encountered is unacceptable for any establishment claiming to serve customers. The staff at this restaurant is appalling. They lack basic courtesy and professionalism, and their behavior towards customers is outright disrespectful. It is evident they are neither trained nor inclined to provide a pleasant dining experience. At 12 PM, I called to confirm if I could visit for a meal. I was assured I could come. However, upon arrival, I was told the restaurant was full, and the waiting time was an outrageous 2-3 hours. Who in their right mind expects customers to wait that long? To add to the absurdity, they mentioned they would close at 4 PM, implying I would never be served even if I waited. I specifically visited this place, paid for parking, and was forced to resort to eating elsewhere—at Haldiram’s, no less—due to their incompetence. The entire ordeal was a waste of my time, money, and effort. Out of curiosity, I inquired about the food quality from customers dining inside. The feedback was unanimously negative: poor taste, unhygienic conditions, and an overall lack of quality. From my vantage point, I could see servers handling food in a manner that further confirmed these claims. The management is utterly incapable of running this establishment efficiently. They lack both the skills and the attitude necessary to manage a restaurant. I strongly advise against visiting Drink and Dine by Terrace. It is not worth your time, money, or effort. Instead, consider alternative dining options where your business is valued, and you are treated with respect. This was a thoroughly frustrating experience, and I hope the management takes these complaints seriously, though based on their current state, I am doubtful of any...
