Kamboj has been existing here in Noida since a very long time. While I was in college, I had tasted their egg curry & butter naan back in 2010 since a friend was a big fan of their food. . Recently, I saw there name on Zomato & it was a #Throwback moment for me. Well, coming to the point, I had not tasted anything but their egg curry earlier. Recently, I have tried a few snacks & main course from here. Sharing my experience below: . Pudina Chaap - the chaap was cooked to perfection. It was bursting with the minty flavours along with perfect balance of spices. The chaap itself was soft, charred & slightly crispy. Just the way I like it. (4.5/5) . Tandoori Mushroom - Mushrooms were soft & grilled along with big chunks of capsicum & onions. The texture was soft & taste was enjoyable. However, the mushrooms didn't seem fresh to my palate. (3/5) . Tandoori Chicken - Frankly, I wasn't expecting much considering my below par experience in Noida. But this birdy didn't disappoint at all. Infact, it was really well done. The chicken was soft, juicy with that aromatic smoky kick to it. Loved it! (4.5/5) . Paneer Adraki - the dish is one of my personal favourites. Their version of paneer Adraki was very homestyle which tasted bland. You could taste the tomato based gravy & ginger only. The paneer cubes were soft. (2/5) . . Their breads are a big disappoint because they were not evenly cooked & tasted doughy. Pudina paratha fared better than the laccha paratha. (1.5/5) . . Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Their Tandoori starters are a must try. The gravies can be modified to be more flavourful. Please do your breads right...
Read moreIt was very lovely to dine in this old restaurant. They have amazing interiors and exteriors. The place is divided in two sections. The glass decor make this place very classy and modern. They had greens by adding artificial hangings and a small pool with fishes which kids loved. We were with family friends. The service was prompt and staff was courteous. We ordered manchow and hot and sour soup with honey chilli potato as starter. Loved them. Honey chilli potato were served in good amount and were crispy on outside and soft inside with good balance of flavours. We also ordered corn fritters which were good but missed wow factor. In mains we ordered dal makhani , paneerdo pyaza and dum aloo. I have less liking for dal makhani but this restaurant made me fall in love with dal makhani . It was rich and had perfect flavour. The quantity served was appropriate. Paneer do pyaaza was star of show . It was so luscious and gravy was amazing. A bit let down was aloo dum which I felt bit bland and missing something. The breads served were hot and crispy. All is well that ends well so gulabjamun n icecream were cheery on pie....
Read moreKamboj's was one of the sort after restaurant around the place. On my recent visit, I found that the inner sitting area was needing some renovation as the walls decor was almost in shatters.
Staff:
Staff was decent and courteous.
Ambience:
The outer sitting is well built and decorated. There is a artificial tree right in front when you enter the restaurant. The theme is traditional village type and it is fairly maintened.
The inner sitting area needs to be maintened at par with the outside sitting since the walls interior was pilling off.
Food:
Food is good at this place. Though in my very recent visit I had ordered soup namely Veg Sweet Corn Soup and Chicken Talumein Soup costing Rs.110/- and Rs.130/- respectively.
In snacks we had ordered Crispy Veg Salt and Pepper which costed around Rs. 230/- for one plate.
It is good indoor dine in restaurant and the food is freshly cooked and served. I have had main course as well in this restaurant and it tasted fine.
If you can over look a few things, the restaurant is decent enough to savior...
