Baa Bistro — Restaurant in Delhi

I had booked this place for birthday party of my daughter held on 16-05-19. The space within the resturant is as big as a normal living room. It was understood that for 13 people resturant will not provide complete space and we expected few more guests and families to be their during our booking. But to our surprise on the day of our booking they had booked another birthday party for a group of around 30-35 people and it was completely chaotic inside the small space of this resturant.

When we arrived only our group was their and enough space was their to enjoy. However soon the other group arrived and got seated and then their was not even enough space to walk around for resturant's own staff.

They have only 2 waiters who are completely lethargic and wouldn't do anything without being asked twice or thrice. As their was no space and due to the large number of people the service was a compete let down. You can't even call the waiters as they wouldn't listen in such crowd and chaos.

We had to waiting for more than 45 minutes for the main course to start as the waiter were not listning even after asking several times. I had to call the manager Mr. Abhishek on phone who was not present at the venue. Things started to move on slow pace after that.

I had a specific request of completely non spicy food(only in main course) for my dad which was repeatedly clarified to Mr. Abhishek while booking and he had confirmed the same. However, the staff at resturant had no idea about it and when asked to serve the non spicy items for my father they started preparing the non spicy items and further delayed the food for him.

The management of resturant must understand that when people come to their resturant they come to enjoy and have a good time. And not to be hustled in a chaotic environment. The management at Baa Bistro is only driven to make money at the cost of their customers suffering. If they had booked for us first they could have avoided booking another big group in the same premises. Or they could have informed me that another big group is also booked at the same place and time and I could have chosen from 1000 other available resturant and could had a good time with my friends and family and enjoyed my daughters birthday.

The quality of food also suffered as they were not able to manage this much crowd with few waiters/cooks and space for cooking and serving that was left.

I would not recommend this resturant if you are looking for a dine-in or party booking. Kindly spend a little more you'd get a better place to enjoy.

So we went for team lunch at this place basis the reviews. Firstly it was a challenge finding this place. Reaching this place was an ordeal in itself. Anyway, we reached it went upstairs and noticed cookers whistling.. I literally felt like I am going to some relatives place. Inside and interiors of the place gave dim and grim feeling about the place. It was dark and felt really gloomy. Told the staff to light up the place a bit. Also had to tell the staff to join the tables and all tables were of mismatching dimensions. Finally ordered the food(starter and mains) which took 30 mins. Vegetables taste was descent but not great. Malai Kofta was way to sweet as was paneer. But tandoori butter roti is what disappointed us completely. Crispy roti seemed like papad. We complained about the roti but consumed anyhow since it was already delayed by 15 minutes. The second lot of the roti arrived with similar quality which further ruined everyone's experience. We were billed 35 rs. for 1 roti which was completely unjustified. We ordered 24 chapatis but instead of apologizing or cutting some slack on the price charged for the poor quality the chef came from inside and shouted that you shouldn't consume if you don't like. On explaining the quality his Rude behavior continued which was heights. As a gesture good restaurants offer to serve better in future. But these people were in another mood altogether. We ordered these yummy delicacies from Baa Bistro. I was craving for some kadhai paneer so ordered some yummy kadhai paneer, malai kofta and dal makhni from Baa Bistro. The Kadhai paneer had the right spices embedded in the dish with a twist of some different yet scrumptious spice, the paneer pieces were quite big,soft and fresh also suitable enough with the veggies in the dish . The malai kofta was the yummiest dish and the best i ever had it was very creamy and the taste was so delicious melting straight into the mouth . I would definitely recommend the malai kofta from Baa restaurant. I usually dont like dal makhani but this is very much appreciated!! Dal Makhni had quite a right creamy layer and was cooked right . They sent us sanitizer pouches also with onions and chutney and an extra appreciation for their green chutney! The sanitisation was taken very seriously with Bistro . The food overall was very tasty and loved it totally! I had an amazon experience with Baa Bistro and would again order...
