Detailed review.

Alike most eateries in Malviya, this one also has limited seating. Mind you it’s a reservation only restaurant so it’s best to call and reserve in advance. The ambience is comforting and the lighting is rather dim, I’ll say it is good for dates if you have gotten a sophisticated crowd around. The problem is since the carpet area is small, the seating arrangement is almost congested and this normally isn’t the problem but the couple right behind us were extremely loud so that definitely was an annoyance to bear. First off entering the restaurant the guard was preoccupied with helping the guests park so I had to open the door myself. Next when I entered the restaurant nobody attended to me at all and I just stood there staring into nothingness and finally gave in to approach a server saying Ive got a reservation under name xyz. This was a minor thing but they were fully staffed that day and there were many servers so it’s very odd that nobody themselves bothered to ask me what I even want. It might seem nitpicky but I had very high hopes especially because of how popular this eatery is. Other than this once I was shown my table it went smoothly. It’s honestly just the little things that make or break your experience.

We ordered a 4 cheese pizza, a grilled veggie sandwich and gnocchi in tomato sauce.

Pizza was brought pretty early I think within 5-10 minutes. Honestly the best 4 cheese I’ve had in Delhi, the second best Neopolitan style/ sourdough pizza overall in my experience. However it’s fair game that my options are always limited owing to the fact that Im vegetarian so this review is based on that only. Overall a 9/10. Delicious.

The grilled veg panuozzo came later and I hated it to the core?? The bread seemed very very think in comparison to the veggies stuffed inside and I could not taste any of the cheese because of how strong and sour the veggies inside were! Also the filling to bread ratio was so off the bottom came SOGGY! A very depressing sandwich, Subway makes them better than this. I get the chef might’ve wanted the veggies to be the centre of attention there, but honestly the veg didn’t taste like themselves even. It was just a sour goopy mess. I hope their other sandwiches are better and heck hope this was the worst they had ever done and they serve them better otherwise. 1/10

The gnocchi took awfully long to get done. Almost 50 minutes. Plus we were done with what we had previously ordered and just sat there idly waiting for 15-20 minutes, which seemed quite exhausting. Anyway. The gnocchi was tasty, very tender, and seared to perfection on the outside, plus the sauce was really fresh too, if only there wasn’t this much olive oil right on the sauce. Personally not a fan of the emulsion the acidity of the tomatoes made when harmonised with the oil. Still very decadent. 8/10.

One coke can plus services was also ordered which was I think 175inr.

Overall verdict is it’s worth a try long as you go with an open mind. Authentic Italian is an acquired taste.

Regarding the price, most decent restaurants charge upwards of 2k for 2 people so not surprised that 3 main items and a soda was around 2200 for the two of us, inclusive of a 10% discretionary service charge. Except for the godawful sammie it was worth it, even though we drove some 15kms just to get there.

PS. Genuinely curious why a restaurant serving Italian food has the most Parisian cafe-esque music playing. Very amusing and definitely something I...

A Slice Above the Rest: EVOO Pizza Delhi Reigns Supreme

Tucked away in the culinary hub of Delhi, EVOO Pizza is an unassuming gem that serves up the most divine, authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas in India. This humble pizzeria has earned its rightful place as the best pizza shop in the country, and for good reason.

A Masterclass in Neapolitan Pizza

EVOO's pizzas are a masterclass in texture, flavor, and technique. The crust, cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven, is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, providing the ideal base for a medley of fresh toppings. From the classic Margherita to more adventurous options like the Prosciutto e Funghi, each pizza is crafted with love, care, and a deep understanding of the art of Neapolitan pizza-making.

Impeccable Ingredients and Attention to Detail

What sets EVOO apart from its competitors is its commitment to using only the finest, freshest ingredients. From the creamy mozzarella to the tangy San Marzano tomatoes, every component is carefully sourced to ensure an unparalleled pizza experience. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the delicate presentation to the warm, inviting ambiance.

A Game-Changer for Indian Pizza Lovers EVOO Pizza Delhi is more than just a pizzeria – it's a game-changer for Indian pizza lovers. In a country where pizza is often reduced to a generic, mass-produced commodity, EVOO dares to be different. It's a testament to the power of passion, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.

Verdict If you're a pizza aficionado, or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of a perfectly crafted pie, EVOO Pizza Delhi is an absolute must-visit. With its unwavering commitment to quality, authenticity, and flavor, this unassuming pizzeria has earned its rightful place as the best pizza shop in India.

One of my best dining experiences for authentic Italian food!!. I have been to many Italian restaurants and this places high up on my list of favourites.

We took a table for 3 on a Sunday evening. It was decently crowded. Reservations are a must before visiting because they are quite popular especially on weekends.

We ordered caprese salad , it was topped with fresh homemade basil pesto and balsamic.

For mains we ordered the truffle burrata pizza with bacon chips, margarita and pistachio pesto pizza(half and half), both pizzas were delicious and perfectly baked and tasted great. Could have little more seasoning in my opinion.

The pan seared river sole took the trophy for me, it was soft and scrumptious and the risotto paired with it was not too overwhelming or rich, perfectly balanced.

I also got one of the special menu items ‘Cacio e pepe’ made with handmade Pici pasta. It satisfied every raving I had been having this type of pasta. Perfectly al dente.

We also got a lamb ragout stuffed pasta, it was good but not the highlight of our meal.

For dessert we got the stuffed cannelloni, one with with vanilla beans ne other with pistachio cream, both were so decadence, delicious and satisfying, perfect ending to a perfect meal.

Looking forward to visiting this place many more times in...

We had gone to this place with high expectations. Ordered dishes - two pizzas and three pastas. Paid over 4k for highly average food, that can be found elsewhere with larger portions and wouldnt burn a hole in your pocket. 1. They charge almost Rs 600 for meagrely portions and dont even serve bread with the pastas. That’s almost blasphemous for an Italian restaurant. When i asked the server, she simply said no and moved on. Such arrogance for what? 2. The veg ravioli was absolutely pathetic. The worst Italian dish you could serve. Rs 575+ for 8 mini tubes with a buttery ‘sauce’. When we mentioned this to the owner, he told us that it’s the ‘classic ravioli’ and simply refused to acknowledge the fact that a customer is actually not happy with your food. If you’re running a place that serves food, you should be able to stomach the negative feedback as gracefully as the positive comments. He didn’t even ask us if something else could be done with the dish. We have had classic ravioli at good restaurants and it tasted nothing like that, trust me! 3. They played loud music when the place is small and was brimming with people. Not an ideal ambiance for a dinner and conversations. A pretty bad experience. Would never visit again with the kind of cold vibes and arrogance evident throughout.
