Hi,
I want to tag them as "SUBTLE CHEATERS"!!! Please read below in detail to understand why.
I booked the party hall for my baby's first birthday celebration on 6th April 2025, for 60 people. Attached are the agreed event details, written by the owner himself on their menu.
I DO NOT recommend this place (at least for party bookings) at all. Below is my experience:
Poor coordination for food tasting: The booking was done a month in advance with a booking amount, after discussing and finalizing with the owner. They have two party halls — one on the 2nd floor and one on the 3rd floor. We booked the 3rd-floor hall. I did not do food tasting earlier as I had already eaten at their restaurant. A week before the event, after setting and confirming a time with the owner, I went for food tasting with my family (some of whom had not tried their food before). The owner did not pick up his phone. We had to wait 45-50 minutes at the agreed time before his team finally attended to us. This shows a complete lack of respect for the customer's time by the owner.
Missing food items (Subtle cheating): They had agreed to include a sizzler in the menu, but on the event day, no sizzler was served. The written menu, agreed upon by their general manager and signed by me, clearly included one sizzler. (Attachment provided.)
Decoration miscommunication: There’s a huge communication gap between the owner and the management. We had discussed decoration costs with the management on the food tasting day (since the owner didn't show up). We agreed on stage and gate decoration. However, on the event day, the gate was not decorated at all. When asked, they simply printed and pasted signs on the door.
Last-minute hall change & extra charge attempt: A day before the event, they called and asked us to shift to the 2nd-floor party hall (due to renovation on the 3rd floor). The second floor was better looking and more spacious — we agreed to shift. However, they then said there was a chaat counter included there (which was not part of our original menu) and tried to charge us extra for it. We clearly said no to the chaat counter and extra charges.
Chaat counter still set up & payment demand during party: Despite our clear refusal, the chaat counter was still set up. During the event, the manager said there was a miscommunication between him and the owner and again tried to convince us to pay for it. This wasted our time during the ongoing celebration.
Cash payment drama: At around 8:30 PM, they approached us for payment. I was ready to pay via card. However, they suddenly demanded cash, claiming otherwise I’d have to pay 5% GST extra — again, due to their own miscommunication. No such condition was mentioned in the agreed terms (attached). Only total amount was agreed. This resulted in another 15–20 minutes of wasted time.
Forced to leave the party for ATM visit: At around 10:30 PM, they again came to collect payment. I had to leave my own party, go to an ATM, and withdraw cash. This wasted another 30 minutes of my time. In total, they wasted 1 to 1.5 hours of my 3–4 hour event due to their mismanagement and miscommunication. Lost gold chain – zero support for CCTV footage: One of our guests lost their gold chain. We immediately informed the staff, who checked the premises. Since it was around 12:30 AM, we requested the CCTV footage. The next day, the manager said he didn’t have access and that only the owner could help — but the owner didn't answer his phone. Over the next two days: The owner first asked us to bring a memory card. Then said he would only "show" the footage, not share it. Later asked us to bring our own technician. When we did, he asked us to bring our own system too. This lack of empathy and ownership was shocking. They acted like we were chasing a favor. To date, not a single follow-up call has been made by them regarding the lost gold chain.
This was a very disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a joyful celebration. DO NOT...

I had a very unpleasant experience at Gola Sizzlers, Preet Vihar. It all started when I received a call from them regarding a reservation for my niece's function. Initially, they quoted a price range that was beyond my budget, so I politely declined. Later, I received a call from the owner, who assured me that they offer high discounts to valued customers and invited me to visit the restaurant.
However, when I arrived and met the owner in person, he quoted the "SAME HIGH PRICE" as the first employee. When I reminded him that I had already mentioned it was beyond my budget, instead of discussing it professionally, he responded "RUDELY", saying, "₹600 per person ka toh paneer hi aata hai aur aap function karne nikle hain." (₹600 per person only covers paneer, and you're here to organize a function?)
Feeling insulted, I stood up and walked towards the exit, but he made another uncalled for remark: "Apna budget dekh kar hi aaya karo." (Come only if you can afford it.)
This was by far the most disrespectful experience I have ever had at a restaurant. While budget is a personal matter, basic respect and courtesy should be a given in the hospitality industry. The owner’s behavior was arrogant and demeaning.
I strongly "DO NOT recommend" this place for any function not because of pricing, but because of their "Rude and unprofessional attitude". There are plenty of other restaurants that treat their customers with dignity,...
