I went to the store today and asked the cashier if UPI payments are accepted or not before making my order.

When he took my order he asked me to scan the Barcode displayed on card machine, As soon as the payment got successful from my end, the cashier said that it failed. He told me that I’ll get my refund and asked me to make another transaction.

I did another transaction and the same thing happened again. He again told me that I will get my refund in 5-10 mins.

I waited for more than 15 mins standing there in a corner, also one of the mcdonald employee ‘Sushil’ was very rude and misbehaved, with not only me but with one of the other customers as well.

When we asked him to call the manager, he told us that “He is the manager”. After a huge argument finally the manager showed up.

Manager atleast had some manners and knew how to atleast deal with the customers. Obviously Neither I got my money back nor did i get the food served.

I just want to understand that is Customer service even considered an important thing at Mc Donalds? Are they running a small road side snack bar?

I have all the receipts from the transactions, which clearly states that the money has been deposited to the recipients bank.

If there is a problem with your card machine and the way you are accepting payments is not tested and is user friendly, what can a customer do?

UPI payments is not something new in this country and if you systems are not completely capable to handle digital transactions, then you should clearly say that to the customer instead of testing out your systems live on Production and loot the money out of...
