Oriental Mom — Restaurant in Delhi

This place is only available for delivery , so I got my food delivered . First of all the food packing was excellent. The food was packed in cardboard boxes (spring rolls ) and plastic container ( other items) sealed along with two sauces , a pair of chopsticks and packed fork and a tissue. So 5/5 for that , packaging and presentation. The food was delivered within 30 mins , near to expected time which was told to me. So a plus point to that .

Talking about the food I had -

1. Vegetable Spring Roll - The filling of spring roll was amazing. Freshly cooked vegetables , didn't seem raw as those were cooked before I suppose. After seeing the spring rolls I thought it might not be good , due to blackish spots on them . But trust me those were good , actually those blackishness was of the filling . I think it could be more crispier , as it was bit soft but the taste was good.

2. Spicy Garlic and Spring Onion Fried Rice - These were good filled with freshly cooked spring onions . The rice were evenly spread but I think those were a point less cooked. But it taste good with the chilli paneer gravy .

3. Chilli Paneer Gravy - It was the best among all the three items . Evenly cooked with accurate amount of spices saucy gravy .

I hardly get decent Chinese near my house so when oriental mom opened their kitchen, I couldn’t resist but try. Ordered a boxful of food that had soups, dimsum and what not. The packaging was premium which I loved. It is the little thought that helps achieve a brand brownie points.

Coming to the food, I would highly recommend the dimsum especially the juicy chicken ones. Loved the fact that momo sheet was thin and more emphasis was on the filling. They provided a variety of sauces to go with out of which the garlic coriander dip stole my heart. The lemon coriander soup was cooked really well however I felt it was a bit sweet. The dry chilli chicken was really tender and moderately spiced. Coming to the mains, the quantity of hakka noodles was great but they were a little dry. The chicken in the black bean sauce on the other hand was absolutely stunning. The smooth sauce and sliced chicken went perfectly together. I am sure I am going to order...

When in or around Patel Nagar and craving for Chinese food Oriental Mom for sure. I stay in West Patel Nagar and used to see Oriental Mom's kitchen everyday while going and coming back from gym and the day came when Finally I tried their YummyLicious Chinese Food.

Here's what I tried:

Kung Pao Chicken: We made plain steamed rice at home and ordered Kung Pao Chicken in main course, it wasn't chilly at all but had loads of flavours with good quantity of Chicken. It also had loads of peanuts which added superb taste to the whole meal.

Sichuan Peppercorn Chicken: It was in starters and thin sliced cum shredded chicken with loads of spices were used. It also had pepper which is good for health and fat cutter. I loved the unique flavours. MUST HAVE.

Original Juicy Chicken Dimsum: OMG, these melting in mouth Chicken Dimsums, in a weird but beautiful shape. Literally Delicious.
