Studio XO Bar — Restaurant in Delhi

Great new place that has been launched in the third week of Feb 2018 with much brouhaha!!! Situated on the second floor above the ever famous Ritu Kumar & next to Westside showrooms in South Ex part two, it's location is a bit difficult to spot as of now due to ongoing construction on the road which is only temporary though!

As it's name, the place is huge and well lit up using chandeliers with a Bar on one side & a stage on the other. I personally loved their logo (in shape of an SS Mike) and it's usage inside the restaurant in the form of signage. Unlike many other places, the floor is carpeted too which is quite admissable. A DJ console with a big stage ensures that you can look forward to some great music & performances in the times to come. Comfortable seating through out ensures that you can really look ahead to your meal! This diner cum bar can easily sit around 150-200 people at the same time which is like a boon!!!

A group of 10 we were all famished when we reached here, & decided to try as much as possible from the food menu. Crispy Chaser, Walnut Spinach Skewer, Minced Mushroom Galouti, Barbecue Chicken salad were the first of the entrees! The mushroom Galouti was spiked up in mushroomy flavors. The crispy chaser is a healthy snacking chickpeas with your round of drinks. Walnut Spinach skewers were also a surprising snack and surely tasteworthy! Next up we had the Studio Wows in both Veg & Non Veg format. The Wows actually refer to Dimsums!!! The chicken one was super fresh, juicy and unlike wheat layering on the outside, this had an outer covering of steamed sticky rice!!! Do try this one without any hesitation!! Mac & Cheese Balls were too admirable. In non veg, Kafir lime chicken tikka , mutton Galouti and Chicken Cheese Tikka ruled totally! What I loved about the kitchen is that each dish or item is carefully marinated and prepared with much composure and nothing has been taken for granted. Though prices are a bit on the higher side, the food is up to the mark and quality is assured.

In Main course , I chose to go for Dal Makhni , Butter Chicken, Methi Malai, Laal Maas & Chicken Biryani. The butter chicken was clearly the best amidst the rest. The tomato based gravy was too thick & creamy but not that sweet! Accompanied by spinach roomali & butter naan, the meal was totally one of it's kind since all the dishes were quite decent. At the end we had some small portions of desserts that included Tiramisu & Blueberry Cheesecake which still needs some improvements.

The service is quite good and adequate measures have been taken regarding fire safety and security of the place. Give this place a try ... I am sure you would have a...

It was my second visit to studio xo as I liked the place last time, especially ZIKRR. I purchased a deal from nearbuy which says, ‘8 Pints of Beer (330ml) / 8 IMFL Drinks (30ml) + 2 Starters’. I made a booking mentioning about the deal I would carry. I even called once for booking confirmation. I reached at around 9 pm. I was asked for any reservation if I had. I told him that I had and he guided me towards the place. As I entered, I was given a table of my choice nearby performance stage after some murmuring though I requested for same while reserving table. Server came and gave us the menu. I called him and showed the deal to him & asked for options available for beers. He told me that he could give me kingfisher ultra/heineken. He was quite generous while talking. He came back after few minutes and told me that his manager was saying that they could give me only kingfisher premium in deal and it was not available. I asked for manager to come to table. He came and said same what server did. I asked him why server gave me those options then, in spite of showing him deal specifically. He told me that I had asked server IMFL options so he offered those two beers. I called server in front of manager and asked him to tell his manager what exactly I asked him. He spoke truth and repeated what he offered me after showing him deal. Manager straightly ignored that part and asked me to go for spirits/a la carte though I told him that I was there only for beers. I asked him that why he did not tell me about non availability of beer when I was booking table as he was the same person who booked my table. He told me that I only informed him about the deal not asked about beer options in deal while booking table…………weird (what the f@#$) ....I suggested him if he could give six alternate beers instead of eight (as per deal). He denied and I planned to leave then. As I was going back from place and reached exit. He caught me in between and agreed to what I suggested. I asked him, ‘why did he forbid when I suggested him for that and ready to offer when I am leaving.’ He said that he was also answerable to someone. (I don’t know that where it came from, if he had to check with someone, he could have asked me to wait while he was checking with his heads). Forgetting all mess, I took seats and enjoyed beers and band lastly. Manager was rude, unprofessional, inhospitable, unwelcoming, ill-mannered, impolite, discourteous throughout the whole conversation. Place is awesome, servers are very good, food is also nice but you badly need better managers on floor. I doubt if I shall come again………..SANTOSH PANDEY, the guy who left no stone unturned in...

So, this studio is just located in south extension 2 on the main road itself. Starting with the ambiance, that attractive and mindblowing they have got nice interiors and the music was also good according to the Studio Bar.

Then comes to Food, ordered Dark Shine and Tornado in mocktails. The tornado was good with its taste and dark shine was just ok. Then comes to the starters, ordered Siracha paneer the sauce that was sauted with paneee was so much indulge in it that it tasted so much delicious than any of the starters i had...then mirchi paneer tikka is the one that u should try once that was different and the aroma of the paneer was totally catchy, then McCain Cheese Balls is also recommended thing the pull out cheese was drooling so much, dragon rolls (spring rolls) was good it was stuffed with noodles and corriander but it tasted soo much nice i ordered it two times ... Mushroom Galuti was just a ok thing (not recommended) Veg dimsums and veg pizza were also good (recommended) .. Then we come to the main course Dal Makhni, Mirchi Paneer Masala, Betroot Kofta they were also quiet nice served with lacchhha prantha, garlic naan and butter naan. Desserts includes Cream Bully, Blueberry Cheesecake and Banoffee Pie , i liked banoffee pie the most and both of them were good.

Service was good, staff was courteous and nice. A little delay in naan but overall very much nice . You should go here once and try there...
