Not sure if McDonald's has resigned itself to be bracketed into a low budget 'look and feel' kind of restaurant chain.
Everything about this outlet appeared cheap. The entrance, the cleanliness, the way food was served. Had the "McDonald's" signboard not been there, it would have come about as a shady food joint in the bylanes of South Extension 1, Delhi.
I don't know why, but I am very considerate towards my subjects when according them stars in my reviews. Almost 90% of my reviews are with 4* and above. Couldn't give this McDonald's the concession though.
Firstly, no tapped drinks, no ice, No scope of redeeming vouchers. The Maharaja Mac was served in the most messy way possible, with the fillings spilling out all over the place.
I shuddered to look at the sorry state of the cold coffee they served, thick mucousy fluid just poured and handed over.
And when we went on the first floor, the cleanliness was appalling.
Worse was to follow when I turned to look down from the full glass front. Shabby is a respectable word for the view that I saw outside.
Habe captured all these in pics and have posted them here.
My 81 Yr old father had accompanied us, for his grandson's sake. When he asked for water, we were told there is no free drinking water available. I was furious by this time and only when I escalated the issue and asked for the floor manager, did the guy at the counter agree and opened a packaged bottle of water and served us. Very grudgingly though.
Will never agan visit this outlet. We have extremely fond impression of McDonald's all around the country - even abroad. (The one at the entrance of the Mumbai Pune highway at Panvel was like a Mecca to us travelling foodies! Very fond memories.) Even here, there is one just a few minutes away at Lajpat Nagar that is great.
Not this one for sure.
McDonald's - You need to monitor the standards really carefully. Do not get the image of a cheap, unhygienic and unwelcoming chain of food outlets. Would be very difficult...
Read moreI went to this McDonald's today with my friend and we ordered and paid online money was deducted but we didn't get any receipt because the issue was there with their machine, anyway one of their employee's came (aarti or akriti) and talked to us rudely and said that we have not paid, I told her that I have and even showed her my history and transaction ID but still she was treating me as if wasn't a paying customer or I was there to eat for free, the we went to the counter and I guess talked to her manager and he asked her to check the machine history and again the machine was not working properly they made us stand for atleast 10 minutes instead of letting us sit, and were rude, and guess what? When their shitty machine worked it showed the exact amount I had paid. And then they served us our food and that woman, came and kept on pestering us to give a feedback and wouldn't let us sit and eat in silence. I do not have a problem with machine being faulty it happens they cannot control it, but what they can control is their behavior towards a customer, even if I wasn't a paying customer, they had no right to be rude to me, I was polite to them, and they could have done the same. Even if there was issue with payment from a customer's end(which in my case wasn't) they should treat them with respect there is a way of talking. They were treating me in an elitist way as if they are working for a 5 star restaurant and my card declined after a meal. I could have made it a big deal in front of all their customers but I didn't because atleast one party should be polite. My recommendation to them is to train your staff to have basic human decency...
Read more⭐ 1 Star Horrible and Unhygienic Experience at McDonald’s South Ex 2
Today, I had the most shocking and disgusting experience at McDonald’s South Ex 2 outlet. I ordered a burger, and to my horror, it had insects and fungus inside the food. This is absolutely unacceptable and a complete failure of basic hygiene standards from such a reputed international brand.
This is not just poor service—it’s a serious health hazard. Consuming such food can lead to severe health issues like food poisoning and infections. I am appalled that a brand like McDonald’s is serving such contaminated food to customers.
I demand immediate action, a detailed investigation, and a written apology. If no strict measures are taken, I will be filing a formal complaint with FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) and taking legal action through the Consumer Court. Food safety is non-negotiable, and negligence of this level cannot be ignored.
Customers trust McDonald’s for quality and hygiene, but this experience has completely broken that trust. I strongly urge everyone to check their food before eating from...
