Taste of Kerala — Restaurant in Delhi

I had ordered appam and pothe ularthiyadu from this restaurant. Poth ularthiyadu was moderately fine.

Now, I have to comment about their Appan. I never thought that someone could mess up appam so bad. Firstly, judging from the taste, Appam ingredients list might had few notable absentees like raw rice powder and coconut milk. The taste was not just off but totally weird for an appam. Secondly, somebody thought that appam batter didn't really need any fermentation. I think everyone agrees that Appam shouldn't be like roomaly roti. It should be rather fluffy. Thirdly, the restaurant seemed to have run out of cooking gas. Agreed that the batter you prepared isn't for appam but then at least cook the dam thing properly. It appears that they...

Food here is definitely tasty, though it seems they put sugar to balance the taste in almost everything. Service is a kind of rude attitude.

Post this experience, i ordered a kerala meals. It was a major disappointment. Rice was cooked probably 3-4 days ago! Sambhar wasn't a sambhar by any southIndian standards, probably they did a Nepalese or Bdngladheshi sambhar. Horrible food. I am not posting pics of food in the dustbin just because I respect other customers reading this review and most importantly the chutney given was made from some coconut fiber from which everything was extracted. In short food which would have been served to a stray cattle was sold to me...aaah the semiya payasam...was sugar water...

The worst keralite restaurant ever to go for dine-in with family. There food is very bad such as we had ordered Kappa Biryani which had no taste, it tasted as blanch boiled potato and also had ordered Neiman fish inside which all the Masala was raw and we had just started eating and when we told the waiter same thing he fried the half eaten fish again which means other people are also going to have food from that jhootha oil and then the fish was fully burnt. The Staff and the manager was very rude. There behaviour was irritating and the manager said we cant attend one family again and again. Please its a humble request not to go to that third grade...
