Saga of Extremely disappointing experience

New outlet and we were under a very wrong impression that the service and hospitality here would be fantastic.

Dishonour of committed price - This time around we planned my mother’s 72nd birthday party at the said outlet for a dinner on 15th December 2023 for an estimated gathering of 20+ people. The manager gave us a price for dinner for 15th December at Rs 826 & Rs 726 respectively for non veg and veg respectively minus a discount of Rs 75 per head. Two days later he refused to honour the price. The revised price quoted was Rs 881 & Rs 781 for non veg & veg respectively.

Later informs they have two available slots. 6.30 pm to 9pm and 9.30 pm to 12 midnight. I requested him that it’s tough for us for a late dinner because the elderly want to eat on time but he was adamant. We never gt the complete tables until after 10pm Staff approach was very casual and unprofessional, thoroughly disappointing service and attitude.

Requested Sarvesh to designate a staff member for us and start the grill. My parents are senior citizens aged 75 and 72 years, we had a child all were hungry but they wanted to start the grill together for everyone since it is difficult for him to service otherwise. No staff no serving nothing. I was totally on my toes and running after Sarvesh and the staff. The grills on 2 tables had started but one of the grills in the big centre table was not heating. took them more than 30 minutes to change it. Even the 2nd changed grill was defective then finally they changed to a 3rd. None of the staff was even paying any heed to what was happening with our group of around 22.

There were no glasses for water. If there were glasses no one came to serve water. There was no cutlery on the table, there were no tissues no plates. We had to request for everything. In fact u and my relatives had to get up and look for spoons and forks in the drawers. Wait for soup bowls for good 20 minutes or more. There was no person to even look at the needs of guests. Then no one was removing dirty tissues, dirty plates, empty grills were not getting changed, cutlery was not changed.

Non vegetarian was not served amply for the non vegetarians even after number of requests. I couldn’t even sit properly to eat and enjoy. Was running here and there because of these plethora of service issues.

On couple of tables the grills were not even looked at. The vegetable on skewers were burning and none of the staff bothered. In fact they were blaming & telling the senior citizens to keep checking and not to let it burn.

Food quality - the grilled pineapple was paper thin and not good unlike the nice juicy pieces we had before. Paneer was not marinated and totally bland. Mushrooms were not marinated and totally bland. No taste of Cajun spiced potatoes. Brocolli was full of mayonnaise and not marinated. In the main course kadi pakoda was too salty. Methi malai peas were poor quality. No vegetables, full of cream and damn sweet. The noodles were low quality. Overall the quality of food and the taste has degraded and deteriorated badly. This is not the barbecue nation we have experienced in the past. Bisleri water replaced with glass bottles regular water. Mock tails were not served in time. Soya nd non veg grill were big served. I had requested for no onion no garlic food for my mother a day before but on her bday it was served around 11pm that too after follow-ups. No professionalism, non service, casual staff. Incompetent staff. Area manager does not understand the importance of a big party which is held at their place. The staff is more interested to staff in kitchen and chit chat rather do service. For a party of 20 people they were not prepared from the whole day as to what all would be required. Guest had to wait atleast 30 mins for every dish to arrive at the table. Even after informing them all to increase the quantity so that all guest can be served they were not ready to listen and just wanted to show their policies. I am sure no policy says if guest are waiting then they should be kept waiting. The place is only good for a gathering of 4-6 people at a table anything more than that they are not capable to handle. Staff/managers lack anticipation even after prior booking being confirmed. Hygiene issues - the plates at dessert counters are not properly washed and the server does not care. The lade serving fulfill is cleaning bare hands with dirty clothe and using same hands to serve as well that to manager standing infront of her. No water available on tables, no tissues had to literally as for 30 mins for them. No glasses replaced for main course if they were cleared. Even after seeing we had a child with special needs and a senior citizen on wheelchair still basic needs were not met with even after informing several times. The staff before these at present were responsible and atleast working. The experience in past 2-3 visit has been disappointing. I had one of the worst experiences in this outlet.

The service is so slow, the refill of starters took so long, we had to wait for 10-15 minutes to get a refill. We kept on insisting various staffs for a faster service but it was of no use.

Some of the items were not repeated at all. The guests kept on waiting for more starters and ended up giving up and everybody moved towards main course.

We requested atleast 5-6 times for them to increase the number of waitors and for a faster refill at our tables but it was of no use.

Infact, they did not even refill the water bottles at our table. The drinks and lemonade were served at room temperature, we requested for ice which was brought in one small glass after a very long wait.

The chicken wings were raw. Panipuri stalls had last few pieces of panipuri remaining. The number of main course and starters were half of what BBQ nation usually serves.

We requested for parathas which was brought to us while we were getting the billing done at the end.

We waited at the icecream counter and the lady said the icecream is over. We requested for spoons and forks and the waitors did not get that as well for which we ultimately went to different managing people and got it ourselves and gave it to each of our guests.

This outlet at Pacific Mall is going to bring bad name to the brand.
