I recently dined at Mirch Masala Restaurant in Gandhinagar, and I must say that my experience left a lot to be desired. I had heard mixed reviews about this place, but decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately, my visit turned out to be quite disappointing, primarily due to the poor quality of the food.
One of the most alarming incidents occurred when I discovered a stone in my food. It was an appalling and unappetizing sight, and it immediately raised concerns about the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen. As a result, I had no choice but to return both the dish and my appetite, as I simply couldn't take the risk of consuming contaminated food.
On a positive note, I would like to mention that the manager at Mirch Masala was polite and understanding when I brought the issue to his attention. He promptly apologized and offered to replace the dish, but given the unpleasant surprise I had already encountered, I declined his offer. The serving staff also demonstrated good manners and attentive service throughout my visit.
Regrettably, the quality of the food itself was far from satisfactory. Not only did I find a stone in my meal, but the overall taste and presentation were underwhelming. The dishes lacked the authentic flavors that one would expect from a restaurant claiming to serve traditional cuisine. The ingredients appeared to be of subpar quality, and the preparation fell short of the standards I had anticipated.
Considering my unfortunate experience, I cannot recommend Mirch Masala Restaurant in Gandhinagar. While the manager and serving staff were commendable in their conduct, the presence of a foreign object in my food and the overall poor food quality overshadowed any positive aspects of my visit. I sincerely hope that the management takes immediate steps to address these concerns and elevate their standards, as there is certainly room for improvement.
When it comes to dining out, the quality of the food should be the primary focus, and unfortunately, Mirch Masala Restaurant failed to meet expectations in this regard. I strongly advise potential diners to exercise caution before choosing this establishment for a meal, as the risk of encountering similar disappointments may outweigh any positives the...

Read moreIt is situated in infocity area with ample parking space for 2 and 4-wheelers. I visited it with my 7 friends. It is on the first floor with elevator facility. ~Ambience: Interior is very Bollywood looking with various retro-movie posters and retro advertisement on the walls. Traditional cutleries like Dalda Ghee Dabba with dal, chini label on them will drag you to your childhood nostalgia. ~There are 12-13 tables with ample room in between them. Staff is very friendly and prompt to serve. We ordered masala papad which was good. In starters, we took reshami kabab, tandoori murgh and shikari tandoori paneer. Reshami kabab was good in taste but somewhat thicker than regular kababs. Tandoori murgh was average nothing extra-ordinary. Shikari tandoori paneer was the best paneer starter I have ever had. Merination masala was just mind blowing. MUST TRY IT. We took baldi chilli chicken, hara lasuni sabzi and ringan ka ola in main course. Baldi chilli chicken was lip smackingly good. Veg sabzis were very pathetic and they did not have any taste at all. Tandoori naan was good but roomali roti was excellent. We also ordered murgh dum biriyani which was also very good in taste. They provided raita with that which was cherry on the cake. It is I think the best biriyani you can have in gandhinagar. By my experience, I can say that if you want to eat proper punjabi veg or non veg cuisine, you can definitely visit but do not order any other sabzis other than punjabi. (In case of veg, go for paneer or cheese sabzi) Overall it was very good experience for non veg eaters but not so good for veg ones. I have added pics of menu...
