⭐ Bean Me Up 🫘 Goa
Bean Me Up is such a refreshing change from the usual flashy clubs and cafes you'd expect in Goa. It has a retreat like vibe open air, surrounded by greenery and trees, with simple earthy decor that feels grounded rather than showy. It’s calm and family friendly, especially in the afternoon or early evening. At night though, being outdoors, mosquitoes can be an issue, so a little more provision would help.
Food 😋
The food is definitely the star here. I always go back to their Ragi Nachos which are generous, flavorful, and beautifully presented 🥙 This time I also tried the burger with fries (slightly small but tasty) and the Mezze Platter, which was fresh and full of variety , I especially loved the little pickle on the side 🍔 Everything feels healthy yet satisfying, and it’s clear that quality ingredients and a lot of thought go into each dish. ‼️That said, portion sizes could be improved, and the desserts felt very overpriced for what you get. In fact, overall, pricing here is on the higher side and can burn your pocket a bit, which takes away from the otherwise relaxed experience.
🍸The beverages and music are a real plus. Kombucha tastings, matcha, and their shake options add freshness, and the English songs playing softly in the background make the space feel bohemian and laid back without being noisy.
Service 🛎 Service has always been warm and attentive the staff explain the menu well, let you try drinks, and genuinely make you feel welcome. The boutique inside is a nice touch, and I’ve heard they also offer stays and morning yoga, which makes the space feel more like a wellness retreat than just a cafe
🌿✨ Overall, BeanMeUp is close to nature, away from the hustle and bustle, and offers wholesome food with a soulful vibe. The ambience, quality, and service are fantastic, but the prices and portion sizes could definitely use some rethinking. Still, it’s an utterly charming, bohemian, casual sitting experience that’s worth giving a shot 🫣just be prepared that it...
Read moreBean Me Up is a true gem in Vagator – a peaceful, garden-style café that serves up wholesome, creative, and absolutely delicious vegan food. The entire place feels like a green sanctuary, tucked under mango and palm trees, making it perfect for a slow, relaxed brunch or dinner.
I started with a black coffee, which was clean and smooth – a great way to kick things off. I especially appreciated the small cookie that came with it, a thoughtful touch. The home-brewed kombucha was another highlight – sweet, tart, and with that satisfying tang at the back of your throat. Definitely something I’d come back for.
For mains, we tried a few dishes and loved them all:
Avocado toast: generously loaded with creamy guacamole, simple yet super satisfying.
Cheesy mushroom & spinach toast: absolutely melts in your mouth, fresh and flavorful.
Eggless omelette: unique and intriguing – light, fluffy, and a creative plant-based twist.
Pasta al Fredo: clean, comforting, and well-balanced in flavor without being too heavy.
What really stands out here is how clean, fresh, and thoughtful the food feels – everything is prepared with care, and you can taste the quality of ingredients. The staff is warm and friendly, and the overall vibe is laid-back, with a focus on conscious, sustainable living.
Yes, prices are slightly on the higher side, but the experience – from the serene ambiance to the well-executed food – makes it completely worth it.
If you’re in Vagator and looking for a place that blends great food, a beautiful setting, and mindful eating, Bean Me Up is...
Read more1/5 Stars - Beware of Overcharging Scam!
I recently visited Bean Me Up, and while the food quality was good, the experience was marred by a blatant overcharging scam.
The restaurant is already overpriced with ridiculously small portions. However, what's even more appalling is the sneaky charging for extras. Our server, Anurag, seemed friendly and helpful but conveniently "forgot" to mention that additional items like sauce or mushrooms would incur extra charges.
We were shocked to find that a spoonful of guacamole was charged at ₹80, and mushrooms (already part of the soup) were an additional ₹100! This kind of sly charging is unacceptable, especially from an establishment that has good food, service, and ambiance going for it.
Warning to customers: Be cautious when ordering, and explicitly ask about extra charges for any additions. Do not assume that items listed in the dish description are included in the price.
Until Bean Me Up addresses this issue and becomes more transparent about their pricing, I would advise others to think twice before dining here.
Disappointing experience, and a big...
