Third class services with third class attitude of management. Served idli in steel plate with sambar and chutney, I wanted to eat outside (sitting on platform bench) as restaurant was crowded. I just walked out (and no one instructed that I cant take the steel plate out of restaurant.) I was almost near the bench and someone is asking offensively where are you taking the plate.. I answered to eat it outside. That is not allowed. (Then why the hell at the first place you allowed me to take out of the restaurant..) you should take it in disposable plate.. (then why the hell you served it in steel plate whereas you served samosa in disposable plate)...the man is arguing on the platform and talking like I am some thief.... I returned the plate as after that conversation I had no will to even eat what...

Benjoe Rail Restaurant appears to be a very interesting space. They have variety of meal options, both veg and non-veg. Visited during breakfast, the place was very active even at 7:30 AM. The breakfast options available were exhaustive including Idly, vada, dosa, Mangalore bun, samosa, vada pav, poori bhaji, parantha and even packed sandwiches available on the go. The service time is reasonable given the crowd. Rates are affordable. Tea and coffee options are available. The interiors are interesting with graffiti, painting and posters on the walls. Seating is substantial and clean for the huge crowd it gets.

Don't expect a lot in terms of taste.

Overall, a good option to grab a quick, affordable and relatively hygienic meal while you are at Madgaon...

The chicken biryani was the worst thing I ve ever seen n eaten it was cold n rice of biryani was boiled rice ,quantity was less in mumbai on road u get better biryani for 60 rs , The sandwich was just 4 slice dry bread n 2 slice cheese in it, tea n coffee was almost similar n v couldn't understand which is tea n which is coffee. After all this when I complained on the cash counter the guy was arrogant n very irresponsible as his answer was go to the kitchen n complain. I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat or drink anything over this restaurant as it's a waste of time n money the atmosphere thr is very dull n the staff don't care. It's looks like they are doing a...
