I recently visited Navtara Veg Restaurant in Goa for lunch and had an outstanding experience. The restaurant, known for its wide range of vegetarian options, did not disappoint, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food.

The ambiance of Navtara is casual yet inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the décor, though simple, has a cozy and clean feel to it. The staff members were friendly and prompt in their service, contributing to a positive dining experience. Their menu is quite extensive, covering a variety of Indian and Chinese dishes, which caters to different tastes and preferences.

For my lunch, I decided to try three dishes: fried rice, honey chilli potato, and pav bhaji. Each of these dishes stood out in its own way.

First, the fried rice was a delightful surprise. It was perfectly cooked, with each grain of rice separate and well-seasoned. The rice had a rich flavor, complemented by fresh vegetables that were sautéed to perfection. It was neither too oily nor too dry, striking just the right balance, and the portion size was generous. Whether you’re a fan of Chinese-style rice or prefer something milder, this dish would appeal to a wide audience, offering a comforting yet flavorful experience.

Next up was the honey chilli potato, a classic Indo-Chinese dish that many people love for its sweet and spicy flavor combination. Navtara’s take on this dish was absolutely spot on. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, coated in a sticky honey-chilli sauce that was both sweet and slightly fiery, creating a perfect contrast. The portion size was ideal for sharing, though it was so delicious that I could easily have had it all to myself. The balance of sweet honey and the heat from the chilli sauce was impressive, making it a must-try for those who enjoy bold flavors.

Lastly, I had the pav bhaji, a beloved street food dish that originated in Mumbai but has become a favorite across India. Navtara’s pav bhaji was exceptional. The bhaji, a thick vegetable curry, was well-spiced and bursting with flavors, while the pav (bread rolls) were soft, buttery, and toasted to a golden brown. The combination was perfect, and each bite was an explosion of flavor. The pav bhaji at Navtara could easily rival any street-side vendor, but with the added benefit of a more hygienic and comfortable dining environment.

In terms of service, the staff at Navtara was attentive and courteous. The food arrived promptly, and the servers were knowledgeable about the dishes, making recommendations when asked. The overall vibe of the restaurant was family-friendly, but it would also be suitable for casual dining with friends or even solo meals.

In conclusion, my experience at Navtara Veg Restaurant in Goa was highly satisfying. The combination of delicious food, pleasant service, and a comfortable ambiance makes it a restaurant worth visiting if you find yourself in Goa. Whether you’re a vegetarian or just someone looking to enjoy well-made, flavorful dishes, Navtara is a great choice for a...

ocation: The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, within walking distance of major attractions and great local restaurants. Despite being central, the area is peaceful, making it a great spot for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

Check-In and Reception: The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff at reception were incredibly welcoming and even offered a complimentary drink on arrival. The front desk team was always available to answer any questions and provide local recommendations.

Room Quality: The room was spacious, well-furnished, and impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable with high-quality linens, and I especially appreciated the cozy reading nook by the window with a great view of the city skyline. The room had excellent natural lighting, which made for a bright and welcoming space during the day.

Amenities: The room had all the amenities I could need—reliable Wi-Fi, a well-stocked minibar, a safe, and a coffee maker. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was crucial during the warm afternoons.

Food and Dining: As a vegetarian, I was particularly impressed by the range of vegetarian options offered at both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet included a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetarian dishes, and even plant-based milk alternatives, which was fantastic. The dinner menu also had several local vegetarian dishes, and everything I tried was delicious and well-presented.

Facilities: The gym was well-equipped and open 24 hours, which was convenient. The outdoor pool area was clean, with plenty of sun loungers and a nice view. The spa was also excellent, and I enjoyed a relaxing massage during my stay.

Service Quality: The service throughout my stay was outstanding. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring I had a great stay. The concierge provided excellent recommendations for nearby vegetarian-friendly restaurants and organized a wonderful guided tour of the city for me.

Cleanliness: Cleanliness was impeccable, both in the room and in the common areas. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, and the public spaces were spotless.

Value for Money: Considering the service, location, and quality of amenities, I felt the stay was great value for money. It was certainly worth every penny, given the level of comfort and service provided.

Overall Experience: I had an outstanding experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it, especially for vegetarians looking for a variety of high-quality meal options. I will definitely stay here again during...

One of the best places to have a delicious vegetarian lunch in Goa. I'm not a local. I visited this place on a recent tour of Goa. We just Discovered this place on Zomato out of hurry, and i must admit I'm not at all disappointed with the food. Without seeing the menu, we asked the waiter about the thali options. He said that they have only one option called "Punjabi thali".( Going through the menu uploaded on Google maps, i guess it's the "special thali"). We said okay. They have options for bread as well, i.e, Roti/ chapati/Puri. We opted for Roti. When the thali arrived, i was amazed by the variety they had. They had curd, onion-tomato salad, Channa Masala, Bhindi sabzi, Dal, Kadai paneer (i guess), Pulao, papad, 2 Rotis, and Rasmalai. Almost everything tasted delicious. Chana masala had the flavour of one of the spice very overpowering. The pulao was delicious, it was not on the spicy side but still had a flavour to it. The rice was also perfect and not sticky. Dal and paneer tasted good too. My personal favourite out of the curries was bhindi ki sabzi. The Rotis were perfectly cooked as well. Speaking about dessert, none of us expected they would serve Rasmalai. Most restaurants provide Gulab jamun or some sort of sweet kheer as dessert. Here they served Rasmalai, and it was delicious considering the fact that it was a dessert on a thali. It was a little bit too sweet, but the thickness and the texture was so good, and flavorful. Overall, a very good first experience. I definitely recommend this for those tourists who are looking for a delicious "vegetarian" lunch/thali in GOA
