Bistro at Alila Diwa Goa — Restaurant in Goa

Pretty disappointed in Bistro. We were excited to try another restaurant at the Alila and loved our appetizer, the veg mezze platter, but the mains were disappointing and service was bad.

The seafood risotto wasn’t cooked properly, with overcooked squid and slightly watery sauce. There were only two clams and one mussel provided, not the amount of seafood you’d expect based on the menu description, though the amount of squid and prawns was decent. The mussel clearly wasn’t cleaned properly since it tasted extremely fishy and was gritty inside.

The mushroom risotto tasted much better but was still too chewy. The corn-fed chicken tasted great but was slightly overcooked, while the risotto accompanying the chicken was also undercooked and not flavored well. The southern fried chicken burger was crispy but dry.

Service was awful considering the lack of people in the restaurant. It took us forever to get simple things like menus and waters, not to mention the 20 minutes we spent waiting for the bill. We were excited to dine at the Bistro after trying the amazing food at the Edge bar . We went for dinner and the restaurant was very aesthetic with a lovely open decor and good service . The first issue was the mosquitoes; we got eaten alive ! We ordered the pan seared duck which was good but the Sous Vide Tenderloin was really bad 👎 way over cooked and zero flavour . I cannot rave more about the food and service we recieved at the Bistro at the Alila Diwa hotel. We were guests of the hotel for 5 nights and everything was top notch. The servers Raju and Firdous get our special shout outs. Every time we dined here, whether for breakfast, snacks or drinks they went above and beyond to make sure us and our kids were comfortable, well served, and well taken care of.
