Bistro Sun & Sea Beach Shack Cafe — Restaurant in Goa

I had booked this place for Birthday celebration, decoration was good,but the happy Birthday banner displayed had only letters HAPRTHDAY, they really didn't bothered to inform about this mistake even if they were known abt this. V just noticed tht after the celebration in photos,it really disappointed me, it was my kid's 3rd Birthday ,having such mistakes in kid's birthday photos doesn't look good, it hurts and when i asked abt tht they didn't respond well. And at last while cleaning the table thr was two beer bottles( one was ¾ and other ½) left in table and v informed them not take them and v ll finish it,but they cleaned the table and took everything,wen v asked them they just told sorry, irresponsible staff. I came here for the seafood, I was surprised that the menu had few seafood options and most of them didn’t have a price, I went for the fried calamari which was relatively expensive and it was good.

I also wanted a cocktail and was again surprised when the menu didn’t have any options but the server would tell you what they make. I wanted a mojito but it was 25% more expensive than other places around, even more expensive than a room service mojito at my hotel, I just went for water.

The service was amazing, the servers were nice and quickly got water to wash my hands, the atmosphere was good too, while there were speakers with loud music they weren’t super loud for me to enjoy an early dinner.

With so many great options around at cheaper prices I think it’s hard for me to justify going to this...

I’ve been coming to Bistro for 20 years now. It’s THE shack to visit for peace, quiet, great food and a chilled out drinking experience. I haven’t tried their private cabana service but I’m told they are great and affordable.

I’m perpetually loyal to this shack, and I’m sure anyone who visits for authentic local Goan seafood and the old charm of beachside Goa, along with the most spectacular sunsets, will save it for many repeat visits!
